Orion if you are trying to attach a pic using the img tags it needs to be from a website not your computer.

If its for an av just go to edit options and upload av that way.

The red bit is the reason the IMG tags don't work -- you can't hotlink a picture that is on your computer with IMG tags the picture needs to be on the web.

Since the picture your'e trying to link is a BMP, it's probably too big for the 102400 byte size limit of the attachment function.

You will probably need to convert it to JPG format before you can use the attachment function (just above the submit post button) to upload it.

Do you have IrfanView?

If you're operating from a windows based computer, Irfanview (www.irfanview.com) makes creating non-animated avatars almost idiot proof -- simply open the picture, select "Resize" from the Image menu, type 150 in place of the larger dimension, click OK and save the picture.

edit: bc its an art file, and lit doesn't support those or bmp. ... blah.

Both versions that WW attached show up as JPG images. The first is about 1Kb too big but the second should work --eventhouh it's smaller than it needs to be.

If attachments are showing up as ART files, then try clearing your temporary internet files and trying to save it again.

You may just have to save it as a BMP, open it with almost any image editor and use SaveAs to convert it back to a JPG.
