Tell us something about yourself

I sometimes do that, too. But I swear it used to stick out its tongue...or am I mistaken?
You can't be mistaken. Miss Taken doesn't post here, anymore. I guess she found a life.

You saw Hitch stick out his tongue? Did you notice his clapboard says Psycho? There could be a reason.

By choice, I don't own a microwave.

I have 20/10 vision where most of my family can't function without corrective lenses.

I don't really like driving, but when I do I am a very passive driver who prefers to cruise in the slow lane on the freeway and very very rarely swerves through traffic. This of course tends to drive my passengers crazy.

I am addicted to caffeine and am not going to be able to break this addiction easily. (sitting here now with the shadow of a withdrawal headache, drinking a caffeinated soda because I caved and couldn't stand the thought of a full blown headache). I have gotten off caffeine before, but it is never easy.

Excessive amounts of water can help all kinds of headaches and helps me the most when I cycle through giving caffeine up again. I have also heard that peppermint can be soothing for the common withdrawal headache. Maybe peppermint candies, aromatherapy, or even peppermint tea might be worth a shot. Caffeine is tough habit to kick for sure, best of luck to you!

Being in a kitchen supply store gives me the proverbial kid in the candy store feeling.

Thanks a bunch C in C!
I have kicked it before and know I will again, but wasn't as prepared to start today as I thought I was. Lots of water - can do that easily .... peppermint - love it! will definitely have to give that try.

Thanks! :rose:

'carotene'the active chemical mélange in carrots mimics caffeine in the body without the nasty side effects. So keeping a handful of carrot sticks on hand or even just drinking carrot juice can get rid of that nasty headache and craving.
something about myself: if you haven't already guessed I have a background in organic chemistry

i am a student of shakespeare and greek lit. while almost certainly less sexually aberrant than most of the regulars here, i try to make up for it with youthful enthusiasm and intricacy of design.

it has not yet been disproved that I am a phengaris arion. my favorite literary devices are hysteron proteron and the heroic epithet. i like to chat with my friends, hang out, and gutpunch angels for shekels i will spend on wingdust and nectar. thanks for reading.

That is wonderful. :) I've studied shakespeare for a long time. Glad I found someone like me. :)
