I have the story finished, I'm waiting for the word in the Editor's forum on what genre it's under.
It's definitely not normal. XD
DIY - I'm intrigued by your story line and look forward to reading it. I few colleagues i know who sleep with students do it mostly because they are just total assholes. a few end up in situations and actually date, or marry their students, not too many though. most just enjoy using them and using their power over them to seduce them. without a doubt there are many cases too where students seduce their profs, but even in those cases, it is usually only after the prof has opened themselves up to such a relationship, thus really initiating things, just not being as forceful in it....
One cliché I've noticed is the female student stereotype. As if they are only three types of girls that have sex with their teachers.
1) The Slut: most common. The girl who shows cleavage, wears make up and usually has a thong on under her skirt. She'll do obviously "slutty" things like lick her lips, wink, cross and uncross her legs. The teacher is always fantisizing about fucking her. he knows that she's done at least half the boys in school. If she has an attitude, then he'll "teach her a lesson", often by spanking her or forcing her to give him a blowjob.
2) The Idiot: probably the silliest and most fun to write. She's not actually stupid. She's just oblivious the her dirty old teacher is wanting to screw her like he's the Big Bad Wolf. No doubt her grades are slipping and she'll do anything to raise them, not thinking that that would involve using her body. She is shocked at the proposal but ALWAYS ends up loving it.
3)The Loser: more prominent in film than in literature. Also the one I find most interesting. Her grades can either be good or bad, its doesn't matter. Her parents are probably divorced, she has little or no friends, maybe someone she knows just died or is in prison. Shes not an absolute prude but socially she is the opposite of the slut. Her emotional vulnerability makes her easy sexual prey to anyone with authority or offering guidance. Shes lonely a lot and somehow just wants a nice warm cock to suck.
I would like to know: what made The Slut so slutty? Why is The Idiot always so naive yet eager to please? How many men are actually attracted to The Loser type?
Writers write cliché because they understand stereotype more than archetype.are all teacher/student stories cliches? or is there an aspect of them that is?
i find stories that play upon stereotypes to be tiring - the hung black guy in particular.
the other i find disturbing is how every woman who is raped ends up enjoying it.
...And then there are the days when you my love are brilliant...Writers write cliché because they understand stereotype more than archetype.![]()

Not deeper?Archetype is merely a professorial word for stereotype. It enables academics to accuse others of the same blindered thinking that they themselves employ. There are, of course, some sterling exceptions but they don't use the word archetype in any case.
Not deeper?

I am thinking about a story with a different twist on this old chestnut.
The 'teacher' here is a private tutor and her subject is sexual technique - okay dad takes his son to an experienced lady to learn to be a man- but that is only part of it. 'Teacher' meets up with one of her past 'students' with his new girlfriend and she sets out to seduce the girlfriend then give them both the advanced course.
It might fly, or it might fall flat on its face. I won't know until I start writing it.
What do you think?
Archetype is merely a professorial word for stereotype.
No.
.
Cynic that I am, yes.
Let's just say that given the age of student I deal with, no fantasies are good fantasies. College would be a completely different thing, though I prefer faculty/faculty fuckelty.I even wrote a novel along those lines. Stella is editing it now. It does have one scene that might be a student/professor encounter but all I did was imply that the guy was a lot younger than the department chair and that she was flattered that he wanted her.
I've had to deal with too many little crushies, some of them really uninhibited, to be comfortable with this particular genre.
Brrr . . .
Can you imagine a twelve year old offering to model for a painting?
Her mother and I firmly but kindly discouraged her.
Guess I should have said, I worked in a HIGH SCHOOL.Yeah, middle school, I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. Talk about crazy hormones. And kids who have NO idea what to do with all that energy. Eek!
