this is in respect to DEST . . . in every story I write about tat's or piercings - certain ones are turn ons, certain others are turn offs - whats your thought, experience? :)

Personal - navel rings do it for me - been with tounguers, whatever, no exceptional thing on my clit that I haven't had better with non=tongue piercings - nipples and clit rings are cool for the other person - oops - I'm a selfish kind of lover sometimes. But they look damn good.

As for tats have one, wanting other, but thinking too many is too many and look good on others but not me :)

Anyone ever been branded? Ok - lol getting caught up with my own thoughts now . . . ;)

lol I have one peircing and I think its a scream ;) No tats but I want one bad I may not get it only because I know how often I get buyers remorse and well if it's on my body it on for good

I really love ink that starts in one body area and crosses over into another, like going from the thigh up and over the hip to the lower back. I love asymetrical ink, like a big, elaborate sleeve on one arm and the other bare, or minimally inked. Inked necks are SO hot.

As far as piercings go, I love pierced nips and miss mine. But some nips just don't want a ring. I'm not a big fan of upper lip piercings and don't really fancy off-center lower lip piercings. But a stud or ring, right in the middle of the lower lip is very hot. I also fancy ears with a lot for rings, like Camryn Manhiem (sp?) on The Practice. My hafada is purely decorative, which is why I think I'm so fond of it.

Never been branded, but I was 1st aid tech for a friend's branding. It was a Saturday night on a beach in San Francisco, full moon. Dan lay face down on a Coleman cooler. A leather belt was run under the cooler and wrapped around his left arm (the one to be branded). When pulled tight, it held his arm tightly in place. Then one of our heftier buddies lay on top of Dan while another pulled the belt tight. Someone else grabbed Dan's legs.

The brander took the hand-forged Burning Man strike from the coals and *SSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!* right on his upper arm.

Dan twitched everything that wasn't secured down which wasn't much. Once the strike was pulled back, I was immediately in and began irrigating with the first of (I think) seven gallons of bottled water. A bit of Burn Jel, bandage him up, wrapped him in a space blanket, and...VOILA! Bodyart. :D

Desperately want a tattoo, have been trying to design one for a while now...like Des says it's for life and I want to make sure it's the right thing.

Body Jewelry is fabulous, on others but not really for me.

Branding....wtf....I hate accidently getting burned.

Gages are not too nice either.

Christ I'm dull.....I'll stick to checking out other peoples tats and piercings.....love to hear the stories behind them.

No tats and no piercings for me either... wrong era... Our oldest lad has two tats and a nipple ring though, (he's 21 now). He got very upset when I started singing 'YMCA' & 'In The Navy' as he showed off his new nipple ring the other month... He's a bit on the butch side and didn't think it appropriate:devil: :D

He has a British Union Jack flag with a bulldog head inside it on one upper arm... and a Celtic design with a Wolf's head inside on the other upper arm.

I asked him if he intended to get a dick ring so his girlfriend could lead him to bed... he was a bit unsure on that one... he's toying with the idea.

My six year old daughter asked me if she could get her tongue pierced. I'm thinking she'll be a future Springer guest......LOL.

4 tattoos, and my belly-button's pierced....oh, and ears are done numerous times.

Love my tattoos, and wouldn't go back and not have them for a minute, but they ARE permanent, and not to be done on the spur of the moment. Mine are all in places that can be covered for work, or whatever, since society still tends to look down on those of us with a thing for body art.

On others, I think tats are definitely a turn-on.

No tattos, no piercings, no nothing.

Lot's of scars though. Nothing willing just the usual accidents, stupidities, and that one time a young lady stabbed me in the arm.

Personally, I think tats and piercings detract from a person's physical beauty. I liken it to putting a shopping mall up in the middle of a field of wildflowers or something similar.

But then I'm about pop's age, so whaddya expect?

2 Tattoos
1 Ex-Navel Piercing

Opinions: I love my tatts and each are concealable. I could've done without the navel piercing, but it was fun while it lasted and the little scar it left behind isn't all that big a deal.

No tattoos, no piercings, no scars, no brand marks of any kind. I have considered it, but not obsessively. I'm sure it will happen one day, but it will have a meaning.

I can find them attractive on someone else -my girlfriend has a tattoo on her arm and a navel ring and yum :)- but depends on context: it works for some people and not for others; there is such a thing as overdoing it; some piercings, particularly, are a complete turn-off for me.

I have one tattoo, on my right bicep, but I'm planning on getting more eventually. Anything I ever get tattooed on me will be my own artwork. The one I have now is a wrought iron cross with blood dripping, thorny vines wrapped through it and my band's name in a banner across the bottom. It's pretty big. About 9"x7". When I took it to the guy and told him what I wanted he thought it was a backpiece. He put it against my arm and was surprised to see that it fit so well.

I had one piercing, when I was in high school. A stud in my left ear. That lasted about 4 hours. I came home and my dad saw it. He said, "One earring? What are you, half a fag?" and ripped it out. Got a really bad infection from it. About six months later my younger brother came home with an earring and not a word was said about it.

Like rgraham666, I am loaded with scars as well. But they're relly cool ones. Bullet holes and knife wounds, mostly. I used to live a really bad life. :)

I had a period when my face was full of junk. Nose (2), eyebrow (2), lower lip (1), tongue (1), nothing in my ears for some strange reason. But no more. You can see a scar on my tongue, but that's about it.

I always wanted my eyebrow pierced, but I had a good friend who had his done and he caught it on his pillow and ripped it out in his sleep on more than one occasion. I am a deep sleeper and move quite a bit. Just the thought of that scared the bejesus out of me.

Owwie. The thought of that never crossed my mind. My nose ring got stuck once though, in the ornaments of a christmas tree.

ps. Your AV made me think of this.

For me I love some piercings and tats on a girl's body. I especially love navel rings, nose stickers, maybe a tongue piercing.
And I love small tats on belly, thigh or back. But I think the motif ahould be something rather feminine. Not a tribal or so.
Snoopy, my 2 cents

ROFL! How on earth did that happen!?!?! :D

ps Your link reminded me of this! (you can buy a truly creepy mounted, stuffed head of one at pretty much any tourist shop around here  )

Had my ear pierced in the '70's (punk era). That was pretty radical in them days. My first words after my g/f had a nose pierced (which was also radical for non-Hindu girls in 70s) were "wipe your nose, you've got something stuck on it" -- it looked like a bead of snot.

My wife told me that she first fancied me because of the stag beetle hanging from my ear (it was a real one, about two inches long, which I found in the woods).

Never got a tattoo: simply because I can't think of an image adorning me that I won't get sick of in about three days and want to change (for fuck's sake, I change my avatar four times a week!)

When I see young, beautiful people with tattoos I can't help thinking how stupid they'll look with them in 40 years time. That's the basic trouble with tattoos, they're permanent, while we as people change.

Pierced tongues and clits are a turn-on, but I don't like the idea of self-mutilation, which too many or too radical piercings can sometimes be a symptom of.

A good friend who's a bit "Ab-Fab" had her navel pierced at the age of 46. I've seen it at the red, inflamed and pustulating stage, and so don't really like it.
