This thread was not conceived as an ad for the BDSM academy and most of the tasks I have mentioned I did for others.

I truly want to hear about tasks of this nature from other people.

In truth, since I can't find one, I would love to put together my own little manual of tasks that specifically address two subs together one of whom thinks he is and who may be vanilla. (Po lil 'nilla man, he must HATE being married to me 'bout now. LOL!)

For a too brief time, I had a guide who gave me lovely tasks that helped me and our relationship grow in the directions I wanted. This person could take my subconscious desires and state them for me when I couldn't. He could give me specific tasks that worked to take me where I wanted to go.

Not only that he gave me tasks that helped my husband understand and enjoy the journey. Now that I've lost that, I want to find more resources.

I feel like the things I do are done blind now.

I have no surety that these things will help lead me or us where I want to go.

I wish to hell that guy would write a book or send me a map! I feel like I'm fumbling in the dark. I do know however that others have knowledge they can share with me and I can use that is what I seek.

However I am interested in ALL tasks as well as conversation with people in general. So these are the reasons I started this thread. It's probably the reason I've started other threads too. I am seeking always.

So again, I would like to hear about other people's tasks and experiences.

That being said I will be happy to expound on the BDSM Academy.

They are very simple but you can make it as complicated as your emotions and mind make things if you know what I mean. When you are engaged in a task you often find there are ramifications and lessons you didn't know would be there.

You do what Amasterfound said and sign up the two places. I can't remember right now, so look backwards through this thread for her posts. You get to look through some sort of preview thingie. I just as is characteristic of me, quickly scanned these and jumped right in, though I was very dubious.

Once there you have to write an introduction.

Then you are allowed to answer questions that just tell about your limits, what toys you have and so on. You can no longer look at the "example area" at this point for some reason. *shrugs*

After that you have access to the "performers" or sub's part of the forum. Although you can sign up to be a sub or a TM aka Task Master aka Dom or both. I chose the performer only thing. I don't wish to direct others. God how I just wish to not be in charge but anyway . . .

At that point you can talk in the forums the way we do here. You can wait for an assignment and likely get frustrated or you can request one in the request forum.

The person who was my Academy guide suggested I request at task called Desire and Willing. I did. In it I went through ALL the tasks at the Academy, something I was planning on doing anyway.

You are to make a list of those tasks you actually WANT to do and those you would be willing to do under the right circumstances. I also made a list of No but didn't post it in my task summary report because it wasn't required. I did that for me.

Once you complete the task, you write up a summary and post it then get feed back from the person or TM who wrote the task up. Also part of the task is deciding on the task you MOST wish to do and requesting it.

So bingo you have two tasks now. In addition the other TM's might look at it and see oh hey! She likes my task and assign it to you. Which happened to me.

So it can really help get you started.

I think in total, out of hundreds of tasks, there were like six I wanted to do for me. That's because I love tasks when I do them for others, specifically others I care about but I want that connection and I'm not just there for fun alone. So the down side is I don't know any of these TM's though I did read the profiles on them.

I could tell which ones I though knew what the fuck they were talking about and which ones did not. (rinse the ginger *shakes head*) I could also tell which ones seemed to like to have you performing in public and shit. Which I will not do.

The public isn't consenting to this so that doesn't work for me. There were some tasks that had you do things at work. I'm working at work okay? I'm 100% there so damnit, that won't do for me.

Or at lunch with a friend. How is it okay to be distracted by excusing yourself and masturbating every 10 minutes? That's fucking rude in my opinion. Again when I am with a friend I am with them 100%. Don't they have a fucking nose? Won't they KNOW?

So there was some stuff, a lot of stuff actually, that I just said nope, that won't be me and anyone who thinks like that is not getting too close to me. I mean I'm not judging anyone else if they wish to do that but I'd be pissed if I were treated like that by a friend you know?

I learned so much from the task. Some things I liked about me and some things I didn't. I found I have a LOT more limits than I had previously thought which made me feel kind of sad. As I've said before learning is part of what it's all about for me.

But they don't require you to call any TM Master, Sir, Lady or any of that shit. They shouldn't because you don't really have a relationship with that person.

Sure people do it anyway (fawning sycophants and wannabees mostly IMO) but I like how it keeps the lines clearer here you know? Most online places seem to think you should automatically do that but that's bull. Until the TWO of you agree that you have a relationship there should be none of that lil one, slut, Master, Lady stuff going on that just cheapens tings and presumes IMO. Frankly it's would piss me off no matter which side of the equation I was on.

Everyone is treated with respect there as far as I can tell. That is a good thing!
