He hadn't been sure how she would respond

It was Friday morning, and the weekend was here

Should we go out tonight or tomorrow?

He was hungry,

Actually I wouldn't mind going and getting breakfast, how about that little creperie a couple of blocks from here, we could take a little walk?

She nodded.

Yeah lets go eat and maybe tonight we can play it by ear

She smiled and hugged him.

He leaned down and kissed her

They walked and in hand to the little creperie, it was a favorite of the campus

He ordered a mushroom and swiss and a raspberry crepe a cup of coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice

Rick saw him first, he was strikingly handsome and he saw the way he looked at her

[Asa]

She looked over and waved.

Yep he and I have done a couple of routines for dance team.

The young dancer came over with his arms extended

Eying her up and down

It is so good to see you, I heard about what happened and the professor was taking care of you

He turned to Rick

Hello Sir, Talia and I were dating, but that was before, thank you for taking care of her and helping her

Rick's eyes opened wide at his statement, "Oh, I didn't realize...nice to meet you"

I tell you what why don't I get a couple of coffees so you two can have a minute

Rick walked away to the counter with what felt like a hundred conflicting emotions, "

She looked to him.

Why did you say that we have not dated just gone out with the team and danced together

Well, we did go out that night, you had to feel the chemistry didn't you, I just assumed...

He looked over at the professor, and was curious

As Rick had walked away, for the first time ever with her he felt like a third wheel

He looked back and saw them talking, he was clearly very attracted to her

How many times had she felt like a third wheel due to his fiancee?

He looked back and wondered, he considered her his, he wanted her to be his only, and for him to be hers. In his mind, his heart he was, but did she really understand that, did she want that?

It's my freshman year I need to focus on my studies. I mean yeah you are attractive but I really just need to focus and after what happened I...

She bit her lip and unconsciously moved back a little

The young dancer came over to help Rick carry the three coffees

Thank you sir

Uh, I was wondering if there is something more here, I will stand down

Rick looked at him and wanted to punch him, he knew he was talking loud enough that Talia could hear both of them

"My job is to make sure she is taken care of and safe, son" that was all he could say, he wouldn't/couldn't admit more to the lustful Romeo

That's great, i know she wants me, I could tell the night we went out, she just needs time

"Oh really did you now?" He was so angry and yes jealous he chose his words carefully. 'Given the circumstances I find that comment highly inappropriate...I suggest you take this coffee as a gift and get out of here"

Rick had heard her decline him, but also compliment him on his attractiveness, maybe there was something there

The kid took off and Rick gave her the coffee

Let's finish our breakfast, I sent him away

 

[Asa]

I didn't know what to say to him. I know he likes me but I... Have interests elsewhere.

She whispered to him.

He whispered, "I so want to kiss you right now"

I just hope you never lose or deprioritize those interests

He still didn't like the comment of the young man, but he wrote it off to young ego

Shall we go home, or would you like to go maybe shop a bit for something to wear when we go out?

 

[Asa]

We... We can.

She suddenly felt scared of dressing up to go out like that.

Suddenly her mood changed

180 degrees, not as bad as last night, but something was happening

He didn't worry about the location, he only thought of her

She bit her lip.

Its stupid but suddenly scared of the idea of dressing up if that makes sense.

She watched his eyes and face.

We can take our time

And you don't have to dress sexy, we can even go old school and ball room dance or anything,

Or we can put on music at the condo and just dance the two of us, I will even make a candle light dinner

Or we can do nothing lover, I am here for whatever you need and are comfortable with

 

[Asa]

I do want to dance just not sure about going out.

She smiled to him.

but for now lets go home.

He took her hand and headed home, he increasingly didn’t care who might see them

She hurried along with him back home. Not that she minded going out she just got spooked at the idea of dressing up and going out like she had before.

You know you can dress however you want, you need to be comfortable

Even in a burlap sack, you would be the most beautiful woman there

And it went unsaid, but the sexiest too!

She nodded and smiled to him.

Once they were home she changed into some sweats and tshirt and smiled feeling safer more covered for the moment.

Whatever the Ancient studies teacher has for me for class work or research

She moved to the couch and curled up to watch a little tv. She hated not being in class but she was not sure she could be around lots of people yet. She wanted to try but not just yet.

Rick went and saw the Ancient Studies professor first

He had only intended to pick up Talia's assignments and give her a quick update

He was a bit surprised, when the acclaimed, older and classically beautiful professor asked him if he would like to go grab a cup of coffee or a drink and discuss their prized student
