Here's a fun challenge from a couple of years ago:

~~~~~~~~~
Here's the challenge: Write a poem about the breakup of a relationship during a wedding. It has to be while the bride and groom are at the altar. It can be the bride or groom ending the relationship, or members of the wedding party, or guests.
There are no restrictions on style or length of your poem. The only restrictions are the lists of taboo words and phrases.
Taboo Words:
vows
bouquet
preacher
bride
groom
white
church
marry
aisle
ring
altar
wedding
love
relationship
breakup
Taboo Phrases:
"I do"
"speak now or forever hold your peace"
~~~~~~~~~~

Okay, poets, give it a try and be creative!

The Sepulcher Shook
by JUDO ©

The weatherman says no rain this Spring morn
As relatives greet in delight.
All's ready inside, a welcome's born,
While they seat on the left and the right.

Tuxedoes pressed sharp within trim form
Their boutonnieres' scent in the air.
A shot of scotch to keep doubt warm
As jolly men joke with flair.

But up runs the gown before march starts.
Long train, low bodice and bone.
Her lips don't smile, her eyes throw darts
And her pace, I should have known.

Three words she roars denying pretense,
"You fucked her?" And all was still.
Her peacock boy half cries his defense
As diamond band's flung with ill will.

A rain of roses beat across his face
Petals flew, thorns ripped, drew blood…
He fell, pleading mercy, knocked over a vase.
It dropped on his head with a thud.

The Priest, saintly man, tried to intervene.
Unwise in storms of this kind.
Lace boot kicked his balls up into his spleen.
He folded quite graceful and whined.

But fury wasn't finished and shouted out loud,
"My boss! How could you, you ass?"
She stormed out the doors right past the crowd
And slammed them, shattering the glass.

Her father, in shock, turned right with a nod
And was heard by quite a few,
Addressing his wife sitting quiet as God,
"Um, doesn't she work for you?"

Crossing The Aisle

Half way throw the service
I opened my eyes to fine,

across the aisle Eve's wicked eyes
glowing back at mine.

Good luck happy couple
I don't know you well,

Eve's eyes are really eager
full of passion, not hell.

I let my date and crossed
to sit in Eve's lap,

The silent service halted
by the sound of her slap.

sorry

I forgot to read the taboo words, but you did look eager.

omg Eve! Judo's poem took my first idea right out of my head but I am still sitting here laughing really hard. I think I even felt the priest's pain. oh hell...

I'll try :confused:
