Stunning

Hi Mae:

Thank you for sharing your travels with us !! I myself went to the Interlaken region about 10 years ago and remember well the "teleferique" rides up and down the "hills", as the locals called them. :) I'll have to dig through my pictures of that trip and see if I'm correct in remembering Mt. Eiger. I recall that we were waiting for one of the gondolas to take us back down when I got the shot with the trust old Pentax K-1000. Yes, it is old and is manual *everything*, but it gave me the best bang for the buck back in the pre-digital days. lol

You have a *marvelous* eye for shot selection and framing.....those pictures are truly breathtaking and stunning. May you always find that refuge that you need in times of trial and trouble.

*hugs*

Those shots are phenomenal. :)

I'll have to make my way over there sometime...

Please subject away I would love to see more if you have the time. It reminds me of Yosemite in CA.

Some of the old crew has popped out in this thread, hello guys!

*warm hugs*

This crazy real life thing has been ursurping my online time lately...but I find that I am not really that sad about the fact, although I miss being able to chat as much with some of you!

Weathered, you dear old bull, I think I know what you're hinting at in that picture...although I didn't even think about it until you mentioned it, lol!

justin, how is your internship going? Or is it called that up there in the frozen Northland? I still long for the day when I get to whup you at Starcraft :D Although it's been a while since I played, I would need to practice some to get back up to speed. You know the door to Chateau Mae is always open, should you feel the urge to wing away for a while!

Smoke hun, you're still going to show me around London someday, right? Have passport finally, will travel!

SH, if you ever feel the wild hair for a long trip...I know you've been hitting the bike hard lately, and I cannot even BEGIN to describe to you the bike trails coming out of the mountains there in CH! Just a thought... ;)

las, just for you I'm going to dig out one of the pics I didn't think of posting...hehe. Although he wasn't yodelling, just blowing...

druce! You know, Sherpas are quite popular in the Alps *hint hint*! I have this cool traveller's book of Europe some dear friend sent me for my birthday that needs to get some use...

Oh, and the dearest Breast Man (Tm)! How are things, the travelling still going well? Haven't seen you in these parts for a while...not that I can talk a whole lot!

Ack, well off I run to yet another meeting on my DAY OFF! *grumble* This has happened far too often this month, bah! Ah well, hazards of the job :)

Be well Lit!
*hugs*

Switzerland

I was in Switzerland in Septemebr of 2001. The beauty and majesty of the Alps are not to be missed. If someone would be so kind as to tell me how to resize my pics I have several to share.

<Sigh>

Mae your pictures bring me back down memory lane, "The trip of a Lifetime"as I like to refer to it.
I too when hiking couldn't get that darn "Sound of Music " out of my head. I guess its inspirational?? Makes you want to keep moving, see what lies ahead.

Good luck in your travels, take more pictures, and be safe.

~peace~

The photographs are stunning.
It looks as if one is on the location and looking at these wonderful mountains and waterfalls.
You should have contributed to Webshots too. They do have an amazing collection

:)
