Survivor 26 - should we do it and how could we improve it?

I just had an idea for next year. Im thinking I might create a character or place that will show up in all themed event stories during next year. Any thoughts? Have you done something similar before?

Having tried really hard to hit every category this year, and having succeeded, I fully intend not to try to hit every category next year.

Having said that, if I do decide to do every category next year than the next level challenge is to write every category with the same character… I can see a way to link all the categories, with the possible exception of How To. That one seems to elude me.

I’m not planning to do it, of course. It’s just my next level challenge…
That would be a very interesting challenge … hmm you have my brain all twisted now

My initial thought is this would need announced earlier.

So many stories are early in the calendar year. One in Jan, two in Feb, two in Mar, one in April, one in May, three in June, one in July, two Aug, two Sep, one Oct, one in Nov.

The above is what I copied for my worksheet. Six stories in four months for the competition is a lot … my thoughts but can be swayed.

I write around 6 stories per year in a good year so I have to pick and choose events rather than participate in all of them. But a common character or characters might help it being easier writing a few extra stories. Or it might have the opposite effect :)

I just need to find a character I really like that can fit into several scenarios.

I am in … I will give it a try at least

Thanks for hearing me out

Forgive the silly question. I have seen the scorecards annotated in two methods.

The first method, the author just typed in the story name under the correlating category.
The second method was pasting the hyperlink of the story to correlating category.

Is there a preferred method?

Not really.

The hyperlink makes it easier for people to click through to find your stories. That might marginally increase your views. However, I eventually reached the character limit for messages and had to split my card into two pieces.

Just the name of the story is enough and won’t run into character limits.

Thanks my friend

I actually didn't know that there was a limit and that the URLs went toward it. I love the hyperlinks to be able to visit the story and see if I like it, but if you are producing the amount of storiea like Bryan then you might have to follow his lead and go with fewer characters.
