Survivor 26 - should we do it and how could we improve it?

Glad you want to join our little writing club, its good fun and a great challenge to try and write in categories you haven't written in before. Please grab a clean score sheet from HERE and fill it our. Good practice for next year as well :)

I think next year will be pretty similar to this year but I might change the hard lock to a softer one with being able to use gold stars ⭐ to unlock more slots in a category you have written three stories in already. The ⭐ will replace Immunities this year and you can use them for different things. Havent completely figured out how it will work yet but we are still a month away so I have time :)

Oh secret, I better find the rules somewhere because I have no idea what you meant by gold stars to unlock slots in categories or immunities

I will absolutely grab a clean score sheet just to see what I have

May I ask her they posted somewhere specific or email to someone

I have actually written a series for Loving wives and back then i thought the category actually was about loving wives :)
It's funny, I was about to comment that I had written for Loving Wives, much with the same concept you had, and thought I had done better than I had. However, looking at the numbers to back this up, I found that it was not the case even though I really enjoyed the story.

06/21/2025 in Loving Wives Stories
Rating 4.29 / 453
Faves 24
Views 28.5k
Comments 20

Fourth from last in all my stories for ratings and likely number ten for views.

One of the few stories I got cautionary mails from people saying, 'watch out for so and so in this category they always ...'.

So I focused elsewhere despite the fact it's a fun category to write in. Now I just write about wives in Erotic Couplings ... hahaha.

Yes, I have never actually met the toxic gang in the Loving wives section but heard a lot about them.

update:
I went thought the comments again and of cource I had met the gang. But I just ignore them :)

Yeah, that is the only category I don’t plan to visit again.

Which is unfortunate because “many” of my plot bunnies could go there. Luckily there is a lot of overlap with other categories.

Well I don’t care what they say, frankly I write for myself. And if they come at me, I am not beyond reporting and blocking their silly asses. I did it before and know the process rather well of reporting them

I write for me and others, and they read for free. 😉

F them 🤭🤭🤭

In fact I had one come at me over my Marcus Hogue series. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Survivor 26 – Official Rules (Draft)

Welcome to Survivor 26, the annual writing challenge where the goal is simple:
Write boldly, write widely, and survive to the end of the year.

This ruleset outlines how categories, points, stars, sparks, and progression work for the 2026 event.

1. How to Join

  • Anyone can join at any time during the year.
  • Reply to the Survivor 26 thread announcing your intention to participate.
  • Copy the blank Scorecard template and post it in your own “Survivor 26 Scoreboard – YourUsername” thread.
  • You maintain your own scorecard. The host updates the official scoreboard monthly.

2. The Goal

Write as many new and original stories as you can in as many different Literotica categories as possible.
Stories must meet all normal Literotica submission rules.
Publication date is what determines scoring so plan accordingly.

At the end of the year, the writer with the most points wins the adoration and praise for the Literotica readers. No small prize.

3. Category Structure & Points

Every Literotica category follows the same point structure:
  • Story 1 in a category: 3 points
  • Story 2: 1 point
  • Story 3: 1 point
    ---------- Level 1 Cap ----------
  • Story 4: 1 point
  • Story 5: 1 point
    ---------- Level 2 Cap ----------
  • Story 6: 1 point
    ---------- Level 3 Cap ----------

You may not write past the current cap unless you’ve unlocked it (see below).

4. Unlocking Category Caps

Survivor 26 uses a global unlock system based on how many different categories you have written in.

Automatic Unlocks

  • Level 1 Unlock → Write in 10 different categories
Unlocks the first post-cap tier in every category.
  • Level 2 Unlock → Write in 20 different categories
Unlocks the second post-cap tier in every category.
  • Level 3 Unlock → Write in all 30 categories
Unlocks the final tier in all categories.

Star Unlocks (Alternative)

If you don’t reach the needed number of categories, you may use Stars (see next section) to unlock levels early.

5. Stars – The Survivor 26 Currency

Stars (⭐) are the new, simple currency you earn and spend during the event.

How to Earn Stars

  • 1⭐ per published story
  • 1⭐ per month

Stars are displayed in groups of five
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐
so progress is easy to see at a glance.

How to Spend Stars

You can spend stars on the following perks:

Available Perks

1) +1 Point Boost (2 Stars)
Add +1 point to any story you have written during the event.
You may buy multiple boosts, but only one boost per story.

2) Double-Category Story (3 Stars)
Declare one story as counting for two Literotica categories at once.
You must state the two categories when using the perk.

3) Unlock a Cap Early (4 Stars)
Spend 4 Stars to unlock the next cap level in a single category without meeting the usual “number of categories written” requirement.
This lets you continue scoring in that category immediately.

6. Scorecards

You maintain your own “Survivor 26 Scoreboard – YourUsername” thread.
It should include:
  • Your categories and which stories are in them
  • Your total points
  • Your category unlock progress (10, 20, 32)
  • Your Stars (⭐ counters)
The host posts an official scoreboard update once per month.

7. Fair Play & Clarifications

  • Only stories published on Literotica count.
  • Revisions do not generate extra points or stars.
  • A story cannot generate stars AND double count AND get a +1 boost all at once. (Choose one perk per story.)
  • Star purchases are final once posted in your score thread.
  • Use common sense when claiming categories or sparks. If it fits reasonably, it counts.

I would say the short version of the changes are that you unlock the caps easier and instead of immunities you are awarded gold stars that can be used to score points and unlock individual caps for categories.

Survivor 26 – Official Rules (Draft)

1. How to Join

  • Anyone can join at any time during the year.

If someone joins in November or December do all the stories they posted earlier in the year count? I think they should.

3. Category Structure & Points

You may not write past the current cap unless you’ve unlocked it (see below).

Change to: You can’t score points until you’ve unlocked it?

There are certain people who write very deeply in certain categories who might be joining for next year…

6. Scorecards

You maintain your own “Survivor 26 Scoreboard – YourUsername” thread.
It should include:
  • Your categories and which stories are in them
  • Your total points
  • Your category unlock progress (10, 20, 32)
  • Your Stars (⭐ counters)

32?

  • Use common sense when claiming categories or sparks. If it fits reasonably, it counts.

Sparks aren’t a thing without the bingo card…

Good feedback friend. I had some other ideas that I thought I had cut out of the document.
Im on the fence of the difference of gainging points or actually being able to submit to the category for the cap. But it is a softer rule if toy can submit past the cap but is unable to count the points until you have unlocked it.
And if you join late all stories published during the year are valid, so it doesn't count from the day you join, the whole year counts even if you join in december.

I had a thought of a spark bingo card but if Manu or Laurel doesn't answer and change the status of the board so that we can post images then I might skip the bingo for next year. And the 32 was just something I put down to have a number. Forgot to update it. The wording will be different so that's not the the reason I posted it here now.:)

Bryan and SecretLVe,
You both have me excited to try something I haven’t in the three years + I have been writing here.

I hope you all can be patient with me. 🙏🙏
