If I do then I will make an appt. with my family doctor, who will either order an MRI or send me to an neurologist.
~ RedRedHairedandFriendly said:I had my lab work read and discussed with me yesterday with my surgeon. For the most part my lab work was normal. The Vit B issue wasn't an issue at all, so I'm good there. My calcium was off, slightly on the low side, so she's increased my calcium intake, putting me on 2000 mg. a day instead of 1500.
I talked again with her today via the phone. The tingling sensation she wants to see disappear with the increased calcium. If in two weeks the sensations don't disappear or become better (increasingly better) then I am to have a test for MS (multiple sclerosis).
I've discussed this with some folks that were online yesterday and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their kind words and their ability to keep me grounded.![]()
I'll remain optimistic and I will take my vitamins and in two weeks, hopefully I will no longer have the tingling and pain issue I have when my skin is touched. If I do then I will make an appt. with my family doctor, who will either order an MRI or send me to an neurologist.

As I'm sure you well know, its premature to come to any conclusions regarding the symptoms you are describing. It sounds like there's not enough info to diagnose yet.
I too have tingling pain in certain parts of my arm and hand as a result of nerve damage. In may case its Neuropathy, but in studying it I've discovered that there are multiple things that can cause tingling pain (and/or numbness with pain).
I will keep you in my Prayers.
Please keep your feet on the ground,
Bill
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, friend. My mom had her thyroid removed and has battled with her calcium for a couple years now. It causes her to tingle so I'm hereby diagnosing you with calcium deficiency because that can be fixed. *nods* Yep....that's what it is. *refuses to listen to anything else*RedHairedandFriendly said:I had my lab work read and discussed with me yesterday with my surgeon. I will gladly take that diagnosis.

I do hope the added calcium helps. Even if I am up to what. . . 19 pills on some days. lol Still better than the alternative.RedHairedandFriendly said:Thank you.![]()

So did she....and at one point she was taking them 8 times a day.....or 8 pills (not including her other medication) a day. I can't remember which. lolRedHairedandFriendly said:They are! I have to cut mine in half to take them.

oh god yes...chocolate iced doughnuts.....sigh off limits to diabetics....I can dream. I used to sit down and do my best to finish off a dozen....my poor tummy....ugh. I even learned how to make the yeast raised ones from scratch.... um can I whimper too?

I hope so too. lol I had to give up baking....I went through a crazy phase of baking breads and experimentation...developed some wonderful recipes. Um...I was eating too much of it...RedHairedandFriendly said:Thanks.I hope so too.
Ohhh yummmmmm. I would like to make them from stratch, but I don't have the desire that often to be overly creative.![]()

I used to bake all the time, then got tired of it. lolGi_Venus said:lol I had to give up baking....I went through a crazy phase of baking breads and experimentation...developed some wonderful recipes. Um...I was eating too much of it...![]()
It is a lot of work. I kept my marble slab...great for working with dough. I really do not have time for the type of baking I want to do... But I would like to get granite stone to bake on for the oven...make some nice crusty loaves.. I think I need to go eat now...time for food....well it certainly is now. *hugs*RedHairedandFriendly said:I used to bake all the time, then got tired of it. lol
