Supporting Red...

Today we went school shopping. It was a little hectic. . .but that's the norm. Anywhooo... we're at Fashion Bug. The eldest is in the dressing room, I'm in the lobby of it waiting for her. I'm chatting it up with the employee that is helping with the dressing room customers. She's trying to get me to open a credit card account there and I jokingly (partially serious)... that if she were offering me a job application I'd be more than willing to fill that out.

It seems this woman I was talking to was the store Manager. ;) I have an interview with her Tuesday afternoon, though she pretty much hired me on the spot after chatting with me about my past work history and finding out my availability. She liked the fact I was talking to her from the beginning of my daughter's shopping experience... she said..."You've got no problem talking to strangers. :D " She's right, I don't. lol

Hey, congrats Red!! Being friendly always pays I guess!!

They are having the same one here, but my daughter didn't pick out those items.

I guess the high discounts are applied just to really slow moving merchandise. Stuff most people don't like in the first place.

Fingers crossed hun, though it sounds like you are 90% there already. I have always said that to work in retail you have to be able to talk to people, there is nothing worse than a shop assistant who says nothing more than the prescribed "hello, have a good day" etc. etc.

Thanks. :) I think I'm in too, just gotta do the formal interview thing.
