:) Hi there. :)

I was all set to go to the Y today and then someone hit a switch that sent me to bed for a nap that lasted for hours.

I hate when that happins... Tho I'm sure the rest was needed.

Just be sure that you are ready before you begin. If you are still healing I'd wait until I was dang sure I wasn't risking an unnecessary injury. ;)

You are the best judge darlin... :rose:

:) I won't push myself. I figure when I get back to the Y it'll be walking around the track and I doubt I'll be able to do a full mile yet. A month and a half off is a lot especially after four surgeries.

Nice to see you today. :) I hope you're having a good one. It is kinda cool and gray here today.

I'm sure you will make wise choices. ;)

I'm doing rather well thanks.

During a "core" exercise yesterday I had an off balanced misstep that caused a loud pop in my hip and some intense soreness last night but suprisingly it's feeling almost 100% today.

I have been off of the prescription pain meds since last Thursday. (They didn't help anyway)

I visited with a Dr. Friday that gave me a "special" prescription that is working so much better that I'm speechless.

I have chronic pain from muscle spasms in both shoulders that I've lived with for almost 20 years and tried various muscle relaxers and pain meds to "take the edge off" the pain.

Problem is that the meds are debilitating for a minimum of 4 hours and the most recent for 8 hours plus they don't work.

I've always delt with the risk of addiction and only used the meds during very bad periods but because they were very inneffectual I also drank.

I didn't even realize that I was as uncomfortable as I was until last Friday evening.

I'm leary of saying more but I can't believe how much better I'm feeling and how relaxed the shoulder spasms are in less than a week.

Oh, I do hope these continue to work for you. I've been off pain meds for a couple days, at least the time released capsule I was perscribed. The percocet I went off of earlier in the week. I'm managing my pain with ibuprofen during the day and PM ibuprofen during the night.

My biggest pain now is when clothing irritates the old staple line (new scar line) and in my knees. I haven't had knee pain since before the surgery, but I have the last couple of days. It may be weather related though, the weather has taken a big change over the last couple of days.

Oh, how I hated the "healing itch" around an inscision...

I'm disabled and live with chronic pain so it's just a way of life now. It's working much better than I thought possible. It isn't for everyone and I have had to adjust my life somewhat but my quaility of life has improved... :nana:

Meds are a double edged sword... They have their place when they work but for me it was like swatting a fly with an elephant.

*nods* The percocet, vicoden, morphine...all those things work, but make me loopy. The kids loved it though, I was quite humorous with them, I guess.

My incision itches all the time! Grrrrr!!!

Try a warm wash cloth. Temporary at best, but better than nothing. ;)

You'd think after what... 7 1/2 mths. I would no better than to eat too much! Or to slow down when eating. :( But Nooooooooo not me. *sigh* Now I have thrown up. :(

It makes my celebrating my loss of 2lbs. kinda sad. I didn't lose it by throwing up, I promise. :( I don't like throwing up. It's yucky!:(

But anywhooooo... I did weigh in this morning, here at the house on my scales 2lbs less than last Friday. 260 lbs. Down 143 lbs. :D
