Sunflower seeds - addictive or not?

I got them so I could cut down on smoking, but sheesh, I can tell I'm going to have a problem with these things already.
 
Extremely addictive. I have to stay away from them or I'll get sucked under again. And who knows what will happen. I've been known to get violent if someone tries to take my seeds away. I had a three bag a week habit at one time. Stagi & Scriven giant California Sunflower Seeds. *sigh* Can't find them anymore. Maybe that's for the best. Someone might get hurt this time.
 
Terribly addictive. My mom's addicted to them. Listening to her cracking them all day long used to drive me bonkers!
 
addictive and helpfull

they are addictive i could go through four bags or more a week. but i used to work outdoors landscapping in sunny florida. so the roasted and salted ones helped out alot.
 
I'm so glad I'm not the only one.

April, sounds like you narrowly escaped the grasp of the seeds. I'm in awe of you.

Ok, they aren't my addictions as much as they are what keep me alive. Without any of them.. I'd starve.
 
VERY addictive! I absolutely love them and try not to make a big mess while eating them. I have to vacuum all the time around the waste basket in my bedroom to get rid of the evidence. lol
The already shelled ones just aren't the same.
 
I don't think this is going to work.

I just lit a cigarette in order to stop myself from eating the seeds.

Very addictive. But only salted with shells, you know? I kind of like that too because you can spend a fair amount of time indulging yourself yet not eat too much. I wonder if perhaps its the salt that's the most addicting part?

I know your pain. I have been craving a cigarette since November.

Actually I slipped once.. December 18th around 2:30 pm. I had attended my ex mother in laws funeral. My ex husband and I went for a long walk in the woods.. we talked.. we cried.. we hugged then we shared a cigarette (we skipped the sex part.. cuz it was just to damn cold ;)).

But I'm happy to say.. I have not had one since. But dammit! I want one!

I just lit another one to distract me from yours.

I think this all comes down to my oral fixation.

Dilly, yes, for me, it's all about the salt. And the tongue/teeth coordination to pop them open.

Sunflower seeds,Pistachio (sp?) nuts,and another sunflower seed type seed all covered in salt.

I'm a sucker for all of them,especially the pistachio (sp?) nuts.

That AV Ruby is the best in a host of great ones.

I know I've said that about that AV but it can't be said to many times.
