The males I have known spend the entire weekend doing nothing. Unless there happened to be some yard work.

Lorelei_11 said:Now that sounds soooooooooo much better than my day. Way better, totally better, completely better. *sigh*
Oh yes, snuggle fucking, purrrrrrrfect for sundays.
Being single sucks!!!
Ms_Lilith said:We've just come back from a trip to the little village below our hill (sounds so freaking quaint, but I'm not kidding), and have our own little treasure trove of parcels: some christmas gifts for my colleagues, a video rental, a bag of mushrooms to eat with dinner tonight, and two small pastries from a new bakery. *smile*
He's playing video games right now, and I'm going to go make a marinade for the chicken we'll eat tonight. Then I think a hot bath.
It's been a wonderful day.
Lorelei_11 said:thats good, at least you have some Sunday's. Why only 2 though?
capricious_chic said:Busy, busy, busy and always someplace to be.
I have two kids that have very busy social/extracurricular lives who aren't old enough to drive yet.
Probably one of the main reasons I am on here sporadically as I tend to post when they aren't here or are in bed for the night (when I am home).
Lorelei_11 said:Cool, your describing one of the ways I would love to spend Sunday, or Saturday for that matter. Going shopping together is great. Spending time together, picking up a few things for the night as well... perfect. I have never known a guy that would go shopping. I think its a nice way to spend part of the day. Perhaps stop for lunch or coffee.
Lorelei_11 said:Oh, I see, that would do it. My daughter is grown up, but I remember how busy it was then.
Good thing you come here to post when you can. What are your kids into?
Ms_Lilith said:*grin* I love that he will shop with me. He'll shop for anything with me: clothes, feminine products, groceries (he loves grocery shopping together), anything. He holds my hand as we walk through the parking lot, and smiles down at me when he thinks I'm not looking.
Our chicken tonight is gonna be SO yummy. I've cut it into chunks, and it's marinating. Considering rice.. but I think we're gonna go simpler than that, and have the chicken chunks with fresh veggies and dip. Tasty, healthy, yummy.
He helped me do the dishes just now, cus it hurts my back to stand like that.. didn't complain once about me interrupting his gaming..
*beam* I love that man.

During the summer is when it gets interesting - it can be a toss up. I try to encourage them to do things that interest them and fortunately they can always find something. I like keeping them busy and keeping their minds engaged.
How old is your daughter? I have two boys and would really like a girl or two the next time around.
Lorelei_11 said:Grocery shopping would be very nice too. He sounds like a great guy. I had a Donair last night and I have no idea what I'm going ot have tonight. I'll figure out something that is really fast. Yours does sound good.
I'd love to find a man similar to him. I'm starting to get a bit jealous.Perhaps we'll have to have a talk about some older guys you might know out there on the island that would be good for me.

House vacuuming is on a Thursday night.
Laundry is for a Saturday.
Sunday night is to unwind in a hot bubblebath.
Ms_Lilith said:*grin* Yes, we might just have to talk about that. My honey is a gem. And yes, he DOES have a brother. But the brother is married (and in all honesty, I think I got the WAY better of the two).
Lorelei_11 said:I hear there are a lot of older people on the island. Perhaps someone between 40 and 55. I don't need the grocery shopping. Just going out having a nice time picking up a few things would be great.
Sounds like you did, your guy sounds fantastic.
Ms_Lilith said:Actually, I don't know a lot of people in that age range here.... well no. I work with a lot of them.. but because I work with them, I'm generally annoyed with them. So yeah.
He is.
Lorelei_11 said:LOL... o.k then if you find them annoying then I doubt they are my type.
Your fortunate to have found someone that you get along with so well, and your so young. I'm 43 and its never happened to me. I thought it did once but I was wrong. I learned from it.
Ms_Lilith said:I was engaged to my ex at 18. I am so grateful that I didn't marry him. My honey... he's.. *smile* I think he's karma, embodied.
Lorelei_11 said:She's 24, its been awhile. I really don't have the energy for that anymore though. You want a pretty large family. How old are your kids?
capricious_chic said:I wouldn't mind a large family. 13 and 8.
Lorelei_11 said:Most people don't have many kids, if your into it you should go with it.
Sounds like you have your hands full, although they are getting a bit older now.
capricious_chic said:It's funny - when I was younger I had absolutely no desire to have children. I didn't want any at all. If I could've had my tubes tied when I was 16, 18, 20 I would've done it with no regrets and lived none the wiser with a hella lot more money and free time.
I got knocked up and had my first at 21. I literally puked and cried my whole pregnancy while my parter was ecstatic. I cried during the birth because I didn't want to do it and I didn't want to have a child - I was afraid that I couldn't mother and I had no inclination to find out.
Then there was the perfect moment. They brought the baby to me the first time and it was just he and I. I looked at him w/trepidation thinking I was going to give him to the dad and split - he looked back at me and I fell in love.
I discovered that I make a fantastic mother and I really love being a mommy. My second was planned. If I am to have more I will be blessed - if not I will foster when mine are grown and out of the house.
