Suggested Guidlines

I'm going to throw some ideas out here concerning guidelines for the new subboard. If we can agree on them, then I assume we can prevail upon LadyG to take the guidelines and put them in a sticky.

Unless she says otherwise I assume LadyG has mod powers under this new board as well. Personally I hope this will be the case.

ok.. down to brass tacks.

Mission Statement: This subboard is setup to discuss issues concerning human relationships and sexuality and society.

Rules:
1) Be polite. Pretend you're speaking to your grandma, your pastor, or your mother. Treat people the way you want them to treat you.

2) Open a discussion on any topic you want, but if it ends up as a flame war, we have a moderator that can and will delete/and or relocate the thread to a more appropriate forum.

Thats basically it. I'll remind people that this is basically a place for some serious discussions, but I'm sure we'll also have a few to blow of steam as well.

If anyone has any suggestions to the above guidelines, please post them.

This is YOUR forum and as such, the only way anything will be removed or moved, will be if the MEMBERS request it.

Once everyone has agreed on the guidelines, I'll post them and that's that.

It's pretty fantastic to be able to see the birth of something, especially when you weren't expecting it just yet. I popped in earlier just as the powers that be created the board and started moving a few threads in. I'm sure it will be filled with appreciative posters once they all wake up.

Mona the old one was for asking questions of a how to nature. How do I cyber? How do I recieve blowjobs? (with a smile) How do I replace the Transmission on an 1957 Plymouth while naked? etc....

This forum is for more indepth discusion, ie "What is your opinion of tantra?", "Heres a report on the new toy I bought", "Lets have a conversation dedicated to boobie avs and our queens of Boobie avs, WickedWoman and SweetErika".

The reason why its an offshoot of the howto is because its supposed to deal with those weighty questions and issues that don't necessarily fit into the how to mold.

When I logged in last night I found the new board, and several threads had been moved to the new board. I mistakenly thought that LadyG had moved them. Turns out Laurel moved them, not LadyG. Sorry about that LadyG. LadyG was kind enough to relocate one thread which was put here mistakenly by Laurel. But she's surprised to find that today she's a mod of two boards.

LadyG, I appreciate what you told me via pm, that you'll do what we need in terms of moderation when we request it. And I know some of us, including myself didn't exactly extend a welcoming hand (or if you prefer, pick another body part) when you first came to the How To as moderator. But now we've all have a unique opportunity. Standing before us is a barren vista of net real estate, ours for the shaping, and LadyG, I don't see any reason why you can't be PART of that community. Instead of being "that outside" mod that comes in and cleans up the mess now and then. Be one of us, instead one of "them"....

Oh goody! this is sooo neat.. I love being involved in stuff from the ground floor up, so-to-speak. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this offshoot board developes {sp?}

Can't wait to see how this new forum turns out, looks like it's going to be a hit.

Only suggestion I can come up with is no double posts. What I mean by that is someone shoulden't post in here if their question/thread hasen't gotten many/any replies on the main HT board. Seeing how most people who will come to this new thread would naturally also frequent the HT board it would only be a waste of space, imo, for that person to put the same thread in two places only to have the same result.

I'm sure I'll need to re-write that later as it probably doesn't make much sence as I just woke up.
