I am interested to see if any of the subs here that can enter subspace have tried meditation either in the past or now, maybe even yoga based. I have had cause to think on this for the past week or so.
So I am interested in any subs who have done meditation or yoga. In fact anything you think will fit the bill so to speak.

Hi Bachlum Chaam :)

I would say that it is easier to enter subspace if you have had experiences with meditation. I incorporate yoga and meditation and i think this is the reason that i was lucky enough to have had fantastic subspace experiences

Hello, I have also mediatated in the past before BDSM was even dreamed or imagined and found with my first Master, I had no problems at all losing myself in subspace completely.
Trust had a huge contribution, for in the end when the trust was lost, I also found subspace could be controled to the point of not being able to nor wanting to go there.
Could I instinctiively and immediately travel there again? I am not sure of this.

Yes I currently do both Yoga and meditation. I am not entirely positive if there is a direct connection between the two. I am a very emotional/visual person and for me to enter sub/slavespace is fairly easy, but I am also a personality that lets go easily as well. I think that plays some part into things. I think that if there is fear and an inability to let go, you cannot enter that kind of space to begin with without some work. JMHO. Master had me start yoga and I love it. Keeps me flexible and in tune with my body. The poses are amazingly similar to some in bdsm as well. I highly recommend it to tune one's mind and body.

I don't consider it meditation, but i do use self-hypnosis frequently. When i was hypnotized by a licensed psychologist, he was amazed at how easily and deeply i was able to lose myself in the hypnosis.

Subspace, on the other hand, has not been an easy space for me to reach. In the future, i hope that will change.

i have never used yoga and meditation in anyway, and can reach subspace pretty easily when things are right. so i don't feel that they are connected just my 2 ¢

There was a study where they did brain scans on Tibetan monks meditating, famous nuns praying, and folks under hypnosis and discovered they all achieve the identical brain state.

I believe subspace fits right in there too. A lot of the same terms are used to describe the sensation of subspace as the others.

Dom language often mimics hypnosis scripts of induction.

Mental practices of subs frequently mimic self-hypnosis/meditation techniques.

All four are different means to achieve the same end and results.

Yup,

randy

PS: Although different techniques will work better/worse for various folks, more practice in any will aid the ability in the others. IE, if there's too much 'pressure' to do it in someone else's presence (dom), practicing meditation will facilitate it. (Sorta' like the more someone else hypnotizes you, the easier it is to achieve self-hypnosis/mediation.

Have done yoga from time to time, but more so meditation and visualisation for years. I am not sure I would equate the experience to that I have heard of as subspace, nor a correlation in making subspace easier to reach. Certainly hasn't worked that way for me. Meditation is more a training of the mind aimed at greater awareness in life, which does not often come easily and still is difficult at times to achieve for even the most practiced. Subspace on the other hand is usually expressed as a place people drop into without any will or effort on their part, and an intense focus on themselves and their reactions with few to no long term effects from what I have heard. Don't know, perhaps there is a correlation but for me it doesn't at this point seem a foregone conclusion with much basis.

Super normal peceptual states...that about describes sub/slave space dont ya think? Its called siddhis and it is said that every one has the ability to place themselves there. Not many are willing. If you are interested in learning more Bachlum. Take a look into tantra and tantric sex..i think you may find it of interest to you.:rose:
