Can I ask why submissions are taking so long to clear into being published? Its taking from a week to ten days in some cases from when I post a story for it to be published. I'm sure it never used to take this long.

A week is not unusual. Never really has been.

When they get to two weeks, you can try to ping the Admins.

If there is a contest in motion, non-contest submissions get pushed down the line.

Agreed I've got one pending from the 8th june still is anyone alive at the other end?

How do we ping the admins? I've tried pinging when I submit. But I've four pending one form the 8th June.

I have a poem still in pending which i first submitted in FEBRUARY.
I have had several stories published in between times but four months is quite frankly a ridiculous amount of time for anything to be in pending. I have, on several occasions 'pinged' the admins both here and also left messages in the stories I've submitted, which have been posted.
It was mentioned that poems take more time to be posted but, like i say, four months?

My only complaint is that it seems to take forever to publish a story on this platform. Other platforms are faster and have editing capabilities.

Hmmm. I'm not complaining at all but I'm curious as to why my stories are being published within two days of being submitted for publishing. Historically its been about a week frequency. On another thread someone commented that .rtf files take longer to publish. Well mine are .rtf. Someone commented that multi-chapter stories are edited quicker especially if two page chapters, which mine are. Thats what I've decided with my case but I'd be interested to know whether others have had similar.

Yeah I'm kinda not sure what to think. I'm a relatively new writer, started a couple months ago. I've uploaded 7 stories so far, and all 7 were pushed through to New status after about 1 day, and officially published a day after that.

But then my latest submission has been in Pending for 4 whole days now. Not sure if there was just a backlog that built up, or if there's something wrong with my story/submission itself, or maybe even just a tech issue.

A day turn around for a new writer is exceptionally quick - It's more usually a week at least, for a newbie.

2 - 3 days is typical for writers who have been here a while and submit content within the rules. Contests slow things down, unless your's is a contest story.

Oh, interesting. I didn't realize the 1-day turnaround was anything special. It's all I've known, so I thought the admins just cleared the queue on a daily basis. 4 days was starting to feel really long, but I guess I'll just leave it in Pending for a while more.

Edit: I think it may have been a tech issue after all. I pulled it down from Pending to make a few edits, which I believe resets the position in the queue, but I resubmitted and now it’s pushed to New less than 24 hours later.

Ours has been pending since the 15th. It is a bit of a frustrating thing as you get excited after completing it and the wind sort of goes out of your sails after several days of watching and waiting!

I've actually a found a few minor edits I'd like to make but have refrained from doing so because I don't want to be pushed to the back of the line again. I might take the plunge and do it though, because at this point I'm honestly starting to wonder if it's a glitch and might need to be re-submitted anyway.

We had done lots of editing before that, so it has been completed (in theory) for over a week, but we felt we had to do the editing. Even so, it has still take four days and counting since the edits were made.

Like you, there are still other things we would like to change (we write together by the way - an unusual thing, maybe) but were are wary in case we go to the back of the line again!

13 days now and still waiting. I've also sent in a feedback comment 2 days ago regarding this problem and no one has replied. Is there any other way for me to ask for help?
