I have always been very excited at the though of having a master. I just don't know where to start. I have had some of my boyfriends tie me up, but none would be my master. Any Ideas?

Oooh oooh...pick me...*eyeroll*

My suggestion is that you avoid getting a 'Master' like the plague.

Start off with reading thru the library here. You might get an eyeful and decide differently. i'm sure this post will fill up with other links over time. i'm not saying RTFM, but a little more reading never hurts anyone.

Second, find someone local that can guide/help you where you live if the library and links spark an interest.

Maybe someone here can at least point you in the right direction in Utah.

Best of luck in your search, for Master, information, whatever you may find.

Typical, Johnny! :D

But can you justify your statement?

Yep. You wouldn't suggest a person look for a husband the first time out of the gate, would you? You wouldn't buy the first car you ever test drove, and I KNOW you women like to try on a few outfits before picking none of them and dragging me into yet another store!

So why would you suggest that a person seek a serious long-term BDSM relationship before they even really know what it is about?

What do you know about BDSM? Have you done any research? Saying "I want to find a Master" is like saying "I want to run in the Olympics" when you can't even walk a mile. I don't say this to you to be hurtful or non-supportive....I say this to you for YOUR SAFETY!! Here are some wonderful links to get you started on your journey of discovery. And remember, we ALL had to learn to walk before we could run.

Online safety; Tigers in the internet zoo

BDSM Library

CastleRealm-A great site for people new to BDSM

Start with those. Read and learn. Don't jump into a relationship. Learn about "safe, sane, and consensual." Find out what a "safeword" and a "safecall" are. PROTECT yourself. It would be nice if JUST once, one of you would come back here, and let us know how you were doing on your journey.

Because frankly, my friend, we get these sorts of posts all the time; and most, I fear, don't follow the advice of people more experienced than themselves. I wonder? Will YOU?

My two cents.

Okay, good point. That was all I wanted, was a little explanation. :)
