Sub/Dom questions

1) How many women are subs vs. men subs - as a percentage?

2) How many women are doms vs. men doms - as a percentage?

3) How much of the above do you believe is cultural and how much genetics?

I always thought there were more female subs than male, and I suspect most of it is genetic.

The statistics depend almost entirely upon where you get your information. However, the general consensus seems to be that there are more female subs than male subs.

The strongest argument against the genetic claim, though, is that the percentage of male subs continues to increase as the culture becomes more generally egalitarian in terms of legal rights and social access. So, I'd guess it's largely social conditioning.

Though, there may be some reason to suspect that those born with the whole maternal, nurturing thing are predisposed to be sub as opposed to Domme. It takes tremendous strength and self-sacrificing love to mother or to sub.
