Strange Story Ratings

Noticed something a bit strange with the story ratings, which I tend to look at every few days.

One in particular (Secretary to Slut - Susan's Journey Ch. 02) dropped from 260 to 259 rating votes but the overall score dropped from 4.6 to 4.32 . . . is this possible?

Another (Secretary to Slut - Susan's Journey Ch. 03) gained almost 8000 views.

The only odd thing going on is too many stupid fucking people paying too much stupid fucking attention to stupid fucking ratings that don't mean a stupid fucking thing.

Lit just needs to eliminate the whole stupid fucking ratings system.

Settle down, sunshine. You don't like the rating system, and that's fine, but the OP asked a reasonable question which doesn't deserve a rant.

CiaoSteve - Simon Doom reported a similar glitch (a high number of views all of a sudden) a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if he got to the bottom of it, most likely a swarm of bots all over a story.

I suggest you "Report" your own stories and ask Laurel if she can see anything weird in the back end. If the site sees abnormal patterns of behaviour being repeated, it might be able to do something to prevent what's going on.
