"Straightening" Out a Character

I am writing a story in which a mature woman catches her young neigbor masturbating to some gay porn. He fears that she might tell friends and family that he is gay, while he is really unsure of his sexual preference. I want it to end up with the neigbors being together, but I am not sure how to make a transition between these two events. I want to make it so, in effect, the woman "straightens out" the young man and dismisses any thoughts of homosexuality. How can I do this in a way that is logical and realistic?

This sounds like a case for "Friendly Neighbor Lady" to solve over cookies and milk. (or coffee and cake.)

Young man sweats for a day or two; Neighbor Lady notices he's nervous whenever he sees her; she invites him in to talk about it over cookies and milk; he explains he's confuses about his sexuality; she strips to show him that women can be sexy too; hot sex ensues.

I don't know about "straightening him out" though -- Including a Bi-sexual friend (or husband) to show him the MM side of bi-sexuality would allow for a longer, hotter, and kinkier story.

It is interesting, this idea you have. So many stories are about bi/les/gay men/women trying to get a so-called straight fellow/gal to experiment with them, but how many are about the opposite?

I guess there would be some of the same things going on, the curiousity, the coaxing, the hand on the knee and soft voices. Maybe the neighbor should just LUNGE, go in there and kiss that man on the lips, push him down and suck at his neck until he is moaning for more.

I remember seeing an episode of "Spin City", where that cute, black, bald, gay guy is asked if he has ever had sex with a woman, and he answers, very shyly:

"Yeah... once, in college, when I was drunk..."

Do you think it would be more exciting if my character is really gay - admits he his gay - has done gay acts, etc. Or would it be preferrable for him to be a little unsure about which way he swings?

Might be easier for you if the young man was bi. This would give you plenty of room to work. So he could be watching gay flicks, neighbor catches him, neighbor is intrigued, both chat, about it, two end up involved. If you have the need for "conversion" he could be bi with a heavy leaning towards men but the female neighbor sways him back towards women.
