Hi, Sorry to contact. But my story is on the pending folder since 8/15/25. There have been any problem?

I'm currently pending for 21 days. I get that the mods must be very over-loaded and over-worked, and they don't want everybody poking them constantly with nudges, so I've been patiently waiting. Are most others people also at the 3 week mark? Is this more or less the new normal? Just curious.

I had a story rejected for using AI (which I didn't) and resubmitted unchanged with a denial and a plea for reconsideration. After 29 days, it was published It may be that stories that are flagged by AI detector software need extra human checks. Incidentally, another story was published within 48 hours after being submitted later. All you cab do is wait

13 days for me o/

Fair chance they’ll accuse you of using AI in my experience. Hope I’m wrong but let us know Good luck

Maybe I'm being stupid by trying to be careful with grammar. Could near-flawless grammar be a red flag for AI use?

It seems to be taking longer for stories to get approved at present. What used to be two days is now four. What used to be four days is now a week. And so on…

There are exceptions, but the above trend is based on talking to a number of people.

At this point it just feels silly to me. From my own experience, posting here is either a quick turnaround of one to two days, or it drags on indefinitely. I had one submission sit for three weeks before I finally pulled it down and resubmitted. I even messaged Laurel after four days, and now it’s been a full week with no update.

I really wish Literotica could get stories published within a day. Other sites manage it in hours. Sure, they don’t have the same strict rules as Literotica, but that’s a double-edged sword. Literotica is still one of, if not the best, places to post original stories, yet the long waiting times are hurting the site.

I love posting here, I love the interaction with readers and other writers, and I enjoy the community on the forums. But the delays make it frustrating, and if a story ends up rejected after all that, it’s even worse.

Given how long Literotica has been around, and how this has always been an issue, I doubt it will change unless they bring in more people to help with submissions. But realistically, that feels unlikely.

I have been waiting for six days after a rejection. In an initial discussion Laurel mentioned that it was a question of potential misinterpretation of ages due to vague writing about a past event, rather than any blatant attempt to skirt the rules. I took her point, edited and resubmitted. I’m still waiting.

Scanning this thread, and others on the subject, I seem to be in
good company having been kept waiting, 27 days this morning. It's frustrating, though, to see that lots of others are still being published within a few days of submission, and not know what I've done different that is holding mine up.
So far today there are 155+ New Stories listed published the 16th, and about the same number for the 15th. So submission are being reviewed and published apace, but how many of those are were delayed as long as mine and some others have been, I can't tell.

I’ve hardly ever had it take more than two days, and I’m into my fourth. Something going on.

Yeah, this isn’t fun anymore. Either that story just got lucky, or I really don’t know what’s going on. Could it be because of the length? That one was barely 9k, while the other two were 30k and 60k. The story that got approved never had the “glitch” where the pending time reset back to 0 after 12+ hours, but both of my longer ones did.

I think there are more submissions, so it's taking longer to get through the queue.

I had one sit for seven weeks before removing it and resubmitting with a note to Laurel. It has now sat in Pending for eight days and counting.

I have had stories posted within hours of submission. I've had others take forever.

I just wish there was at least some clear line of communication from their side. Being left in the dark is the worst part. You have no idea what’s happening, whether your story is about to be rejected, sitting ignored, or stuck in limbo. Nothing. And what makes it worse is if you decide to post elsewhere first, then try here, it’s a total gamble. It could take weeks, or get rejected outright, and then it’s over.

I literally just hopped on to see if it was published yet. That’s annoying for sure.
