Pending Quirk

Yesterday (10/6/25)l, I submitted my non erotic story successfully and it was placed in the "pending" queue. Today when I checked the status, it says it has been pending for 6 hours (vs almost a day and a half). I wonder if that's the glitch that keeps works in pending hell. bug reported and message sent.

Not a bug. That is suspected to mean that, internally, your story has moved past a certain stage.

Whether bug or feature, it may not be a good sign. I have a similar situation. Mine was pending for about 11 days after the time reset, at which point I decided to go ahead and do some edits that I discovered after it was published on another site. After the resubmit, its time reset after about a day and has been sitting for 8 days or so now. I'm guessing such stories are the ones on the 'extra work' list that got mentioned, where it may take up to 15 days.
It used to happen occasionally back before AI slop became a significant issue, and at that time it seemed to be treated like a bug. On the two or three occasions it happened, I messaged Laurel and it usually got released the following day or day after. But she may have just been indulging folks in a time of fewer items on the list.

I resubmitted a story September 9. Over the weekend it said it had been submitted September 26. Then the next day it was back to September 9.
