Stories won't add to history

This is a bug that's been in the system for years. When I click on a story, it doesn’t appear in my browsing history. Some stories are quite long and need to be read at multiple sittings. But when I try and go back to read the story, it isn't in my browsing history. Is this a design feature?

What browser do you use? I use Safari and it never registers any stories I’ve read in Literotica.

Usually Firefox, but, for this, I also tried Chrome, Edge, and Opera. All work fine... as far as I can tell.

Are you browsing incognito?

I use a weird old Silk browser, because I read in my Kindle, it keeps history. So it can't be Lit, it must be your browser settings.

No, I’m using normal settings. It's bizarre. Every other website I go to, it's added to my browsing history, even the pages that list the stories, but it won't remember any story I read. They just will not appear on my browsing history.

Have you ever tried copying the URL from the address bar, and accessing a story directly by inserting the URL into a new tab? There may be something wrong with the way Safari handles the bloated-up ********** used to pre-load story elements when accessing them through a referrer (like, by clicking on a link to the story from the New-Page).

Alternatively, try the old Lit design.
