Stomp! is coming to Greece later this month, and my guy and I are planning to catch one of the shows they'll be giving while he's on leave.

I'm curious to see if anyone here has seen this act perform on stage, and I'd like to know your opinion. Did you like it, hate it? Were you entertained or annoyed?

Thanks. ;)

Superb.
They come to Edinburgh during the Festival.

Don't know how much this counts for as I have never seen them... but my boyfriend raves about how awesome STOMP! is, and he saw it like two years ago. As does his father. They both found it very enjoyable, and said it was amazing... and that all the people were very talented.

In fact, they have both been hoping the show will come back, so they can take me and "enlighten" me to the wonders of it.

Bugger.

I don't know. All it had listed was where they are now, nothing before or after.

I've never seen them live before, unfortunately. I have caught several of their performances on PBS and I've shown a video of one of their performance to students. They loved it.

They are highly entertaining, wild, inventive, loud and fun.

I'm envious.

I still have to reserve the tickets, so don't be envious yet. They're only doing five shows here, and this crowd is crazy for outdoor concerts given by big artists.

God, who's been here? Vanessa Mae springs to mind; we went to see her last September. Pavarotti was here a couple of years back. Most recently, James Brown came to town in June and the ticket sales just exploded.

I had a blast when I saw the show in Edmonton this past spring. It is fun, irreverent and full of audience participation... done without scripting, just a fantastic feel for a human's inate sense of rhythm and pleasure.

Have fun!

Thank you! This will be the first time for us to see them live. :D

My sister and I bought tickets for us and the parents for a Christmas show in Chicago - we all totally loved it. So much fun!

Le sigh, I know. Lucky you. I've always wanted to visit Scotland. My mom says that we have some Scot blood in our veins.
