State of the Union Address Thread

So far so good. Maybe democrats got the message on messaging.

Johnson looks constipated

He's clearly stating his support for Israel while acknowledging the reality of the cost of this war to civilians.

Showing compassion has always been a good trait in a president until Trump thought it better to do the opposite.
Like I said, he is doing well….. but I think beginning of speech, he has been talking about taxing corporations harder than ever to alleviate the middle class taxes, and mentions pharmaceuticals companies specifically. Does anyone here work for a pharmaceutical company company, or any other vertical. He wants to tax harder.??

If you were in the middle class and that actually happens, what do you think will happen to your job?

I’m certainly not a Trump advocate, but someone has to pay for the promises he’s making. That certainly won’t be corporations. They will just make cuts, and when I say cuts, it’s jobs

At some point we are going to have to learn that we are not beholden to corporations but they are to us - the workers and the consumers.

It's anti-American to abuse the American worker. They need to get that message.

And like clockwork, the collective Right is on the socials now making "yelling" trend. They were really hoping Biden was going to play softball grandpa. :ROFLMAO:

Not gonna bother watching the rebuttal, I'll catch up to it later.

Trump slashed corporate taxes just a few years ago, so bumping them back up a bit is hardly a radical idea.

You make it sound like the pharmaceutical worker voting block is larger than the block of American people paying way too much for drugs. That's just a silly point.

I think a lot more middle class people would rather see their taxes go down then see CEOs make a few extra billion.

It just is not that simple (and most of the people in DC who say it is know they're lying). Big Pharma is not strapped for cash.

Wtf is she saying? This is embarrassing to watch.
it's like a cross between those 'please, look deep in your hearts and spare just $19 a month to save these poor (cue furry little dogs shivering in the snow) fur babies who have no voice to ask for your help' and some crimewatch program where every criminal caught on camera is a little bit dark and the words 'violence' and 'drugs', 'rape', 'young girl' make up most of the footage.
