Starting Another Profile

I'd like to start another profile for a particular set of stories, but I can't figure out how to do it. Every time I try, I'm directed straight back to my current profile. I contacted the moderators about a week ago, but have had no answer. So, anybody out there a bit more technically minded than me who can tell me how?

I have another profile that I have used from time to time in the chat forum. If you have Lit set to remember you, it can be difficult to switch back and forth. I have managed by keeping this, my primary account, in Safari or my main browser. And then if I need to log in with the alt account, I use a private or incognito window so it doesn’t remember my details.

Thank you for your reply. I'm not using an Apple computer, so it may be slightly (or a lot) different for me. Hopefully there may be an easier way of doing it. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I appreciate that. - Rab
