It's driving me insane. I've taken it apart twice and cleaned it well, I changed it's batteries, I've given it loving attention, and it still isn't working properly.

There's a lack of accuracy in the way it's working now. Hard to hit to a big target, much less a small one.

Any ideas what it could be?

I have no clue. I just wanted to comment that in my drug induced haze, I feel the need to compliment you for working two rodents into a 3 word subject title.

Good luck with your squirrelly mouse, honey.

Is your box in direct site of your mouse?

You know the doohickey box that needs to be near the mouse?

Thank you Nora. I don't even like rodents! What drugs are you taking? Can I have some?

Love, yes it is. Nothing is obstructing the line between the two.

yes yes i'll share! it's just tylenol cold/allergy/sinus/pms/overdrawn at the bank stuff, but since i don't take any meds at all ever if i can help it, they knock me loopy! lol

when i'm president of the universe it will be against the natural order for women begin menstruating while they're already sick. remember, a vote for me is a vote for non-bleeding colds!

ok that was sick. sorry. lol

Did your mouse work before and then just stop? Or is it new?

Wireless mouses do not work like a remote for your television, they don't send out an infared signal. They work on a RF (radio frequency) signal, so if you have another device close by that works on a RF signal as well it could be screwing it up. Cordless phone, cell phone and pagers are some examples. It doesn't have to be in direct line of sight of the transmitter, just with in a certain distance. Hope you figure it out.

:rose:

Thanks Trying. There is a cordless phone also on the desk, but it's always been here.

This has happened before but I can't remember what my husband did to fix it.

*Sigh* Very annoying.

Nora, you druggie. I hear ya on the period thing. It's sucky enough by itself. Only thing worse than being sick and on your period, is being sick on your period and having to take care of a sick kid or three.

Reason #86 why I am grateful to not have kids! But I did go have an apple. I'm bad. Those apples were supposed to end up as spiced apple rings, but the way I look at it, canning while you're sick is a bad idea. Wonderful little germies trapped for a year in an anerobic environment, feeding off of yummy apple rings! Merry christmas! Here's some botulism!

Have you tried kicking it like a hackeysack yet? I think that would work. *nodsnods*

...I want pictures.

It's getting worse you guys. I may have to ...sob ... log off. I can hardly navigate anymore. *sniff* I wonder if it's dying?

It was nice knowing you guys though.

If you've checked and cleaned the mouse, then you need to look at the receiver and/or the drivers.

Is your mouse IR or RF linked?

If it's an IR link, try cleaning the sensor window on the receiver.

If it's an RF link, try moving the receiver to a different position and/or check for anything that might be causing "ghosts" by reflecting the signal from the mouse -- Probably something metalic or magnetic, but it wouldn't necessarily have to be.

Thank you Harold. I knew you'd come through for me. *muah*

It turned out to be a dirty roller bar. I've been cleaning them with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol but apparently junk still built up on them.

It's so nice to be back.
