Spy balloon sent by China to US skies,

Now a 2nd balloon has been detected. I hate to say it, but the Chinese have more courage than we do. Our weak President can’t even make a decision on what to do about it.

I always thought the SR-71 was the craziest thing ever flown, (well maybe the X-planes if that can be considered flying,) - (And I guess you could include the lunar landing research vehicle in that list as well.) - (Oh, and Jet packs of course.)

How the fuck do you get in an aircraft that is leaking jet fuel by design.

That is fucking insane.

🇺🇸
I think "scared spitless" covers it.

You'd be surprised what we have over China and looking down. But during a Democratic administration you would, of course, mock whatever it was.

Yes the number one job of the government is to keep its citizens safe and that is definitely a partisan issue. Let’s hope the Chinese only spy on Republican states.

I guess that's your way of saying the Republicans would go ahead and shoot it down no matter who its debris killed on the ground.

By the way, the Canadians claim there are two, but the last I've seen from U.S. sources is a claim of only one. What is your source on there being two?

With all of the recon satellites a whole bunch of nations have had above the earth for the last forty years, worrying about what a balloon sees/can do is both naive and partisan screamy.

Thanks. You do know that Latin America isn't in the United States, don't you? And that we in the United States aren't responsible for what's happening there(?)

You're just fearmongering for Trump, right?

There have been air snatches of flying or floating items, but they're usually specially designed items and aircraft with hooks or yokes.

Yes, that's how the Air Force retrieved KH-4 and KH-5 satellite imagery buckets--hooked them from planes as they came down over the Pacific. The problem there was that they lost fully a third of the buckets in the drink. Electronic transmission didn't come until KH-8 in the early 70s.

Be warned. The Chinese now know how many cars are on blocks in your back yard.

No, they can't. Tree coverage. Even Zillow captures only tree coverage of my house with both their overhead and their streetside shots. Google doesn't register a building being there at all.

Reminds me, though, of the early days of satellite photography. The Soviets and Chinese went to great lengths to camouflage everything. The Americans identified their military units from the air with outlines of white-painted rocks on roofs and parade grounds.

Consumer level satellite and map images are not always current or consistent.

Earth shows the date of the imagery and is often at least a year out of date. Some areas are several years out of date. What's weird is you can be looking at a specific area and see two clearly different colors a block or two apart, one darker than the other which is more clear, one with leaves on the trees, the other with them bare. Check the dates and they'll be a few years apart. One was shot on a cloudy day, the other with full Sun.

But more recent ones are quite accurate and detailed. I can see stuff on my driveway.

I'll tell you how they're going to do it -
outfit one of those f16s with a shotgun - it'll go up and shoot a few holes in it.
then when it drifts down, they'll snatch it with a hook on a long cable from a helicopter.
then set it down somewhere.

Maybe they can help Biden out and track some of those convenient "getaways" at the border.

Ineedhelp1 thinks the SR-71 is a “fighter”???

👉 ineedhelp1 🤣

🇺🇸

Side note: I was waiting for “Sky Pilot” to jump in and explain to ineedhelp1 how the SR-71 has been fully retired for about a quarter century. I guess he has ineedhelp1 on ignore.

The U-2 is still flying though.

Hope that ^ helps ineedhelp1.

Laz can’t read. Never wrote the SR-71 was a fighter, more lies.

Two are still currently used by NASA for experimentation.

In 2014 a close friend of mine's son was retired air force working as an air force civilian contractor in Afghanistan ( Bagram ). Keeping in touch with him, during our conversations of what activity was happening at Bagram he indicated to me that U-2s ( dragon ) were still being used for intel, reconnaissance and were due to be retired in 2015. Well, they extended the mission life for the Dragon indefinitely. I was going on memory, unlike some people I don't sit on google buttons.

AS I have said many times, you should go on Google, because most times your memory is faulty...like in this case.
You seem to think research is wrong, I am not sure why you'd think that way, must be what makes you a top member of the delusional RWCJ club!
