Spitfire Slave

The two assassins saw the daggers fly at them and they took the hit, they were three good throws and they impaled them in the heads, well one got hit in the neck, to her relief they fell to the ground, but the strange thing was there was no blood. The other three assassins laughed and they drew there strange looking blades. They let her run a few steps before the main one grabbed her shoulder and threw her back into the stone and now held the blade to her neck. He lowered his face to her ear and whispered something.

“You see the two of my men that you fell, well look now and learn why you are The Angel of Death can not beat us. He thinks he can, but we are invincible.”

You see the two you nailed with daggers stand and take the daggers out of the wounds and they picked there weapons up and walked over to you, crossbows loaded and drawn on you. There were now five of them against you.

“You are outnumbered and Striden Foresight is dead. Now come with us, or I will have them shoot you with these bolts here and you go night, night and go back to the Pasha. Now use your fucking mind and do the smart thing, you cannot escape and you cannot fight back. We saw that Striden tried to teach you to fight, but you refused, so I don’t even have to think about what you will do.”

Striden was no where to be seen, could it be true what these assassins told you that he was dead, you did see four or five lightning bolts come from the sky. But the assassins only laughed and were moving in on you.

"To hell with the smart thing, either way you're taking me back to that son of a bitch."Kiriel snarled, freezing where she was. She glanced at the assorted weapons, and then towards the sky, her blue gray eyes clouding over for a moment. Glaring up at the man who held the blade to her throat she spat at his face.

"Striden isn't the only one who could have taught me, and I don't even have to think if you have a brain or not. I learned at home, but it's a bit pointless to draw blades on people who can't die, moran." Kiriel growled at him, ignoring his comments about Striden's current condition.

He was here the whole time, he can't possibly know if he's dead. Kiriel reasoned with herself, mind whirling. There was not a chance in hell that she had any inclination to go back to that- to that- to that sorry excuse for a human being, and would rather be dead here then in his clutchs.

"Go to hell, you miserable coward." Kiriel shot at all of them before she swung her leg up to kick one man where the sun don't shine, hopeing to hurt at least one of them even if she would pay for it later.

Striden

Striden struck down maybe four or five of them and they just got back up, what where these assassins made out of. Were they even real, they had to be real, no spell could last this long and Striden had a strong sense for magic, he sensed it about them, but they were not made up of it. Just than he was struck in the back with the blunt of a sword, and he started to chant some kind of devilish words, but nothing happened.

“What is wrong, why wont they come to my call.”

One turned visible and laughed insanely at Striden.

“Fool, you cannot beat us, we are to powerful for the Arch Angel of Death, and we have surpassed him in power and in strength. We are better at the sword than him. We have even stopped his army of wraiths that is why they don’t come. So throw your sword down and just die.”

Striden felt the sweat drop from his forehead and the cold wind from the night made him wipe the sweat from his brow.

“Look, I know you want to take Kirel back, but I cannot allow you to do that, if she wants to go, than take her. But I know she does not want to go. So I have to make sure she gets to the next town safe and sound.”

Just than he again heard the assassin laugh and Striden rushed at him with god like speed and thrust his sword into his throat.

“Just die you fucking snake!”

The man kept laughing, but Striden’s eyes took a color of red and soon those that looked upon him saw fire in his eyes.

“I will not let you hurt that goddess, you have no right.”

His arms were now sheathed in fire and the assassin’s body was brought aflame. It screamed and soon turned to ash and Striden looked to the others that were shocked to see what he just did and they turned invisible and fled the scene. Striden only looked to the burning ashes and smiled.

“So fire is your weakness. I see now.”

He swung his cloak open and white feathery wings appeared and he took off to the sky after sensing that Kirel was in danger.

Back at the camp
“Yes we will take you back to the Pasha, but you can make it easy on yourself.”
They all started to advance on you, but suddenly the main guy was struck where the sun don’t shine and he only grabbed there and moaned.

“Fucking bitch.. You’ll pay for that.”

The others laughed, but the man on his knees said something in another language and they moved quicker on her. You heard Striden’s voice tell you to run, and run she did. She ran through the darkness and dodged through the trees as fast as she could, but they were right behind her, advancing fast. It seemed like you were running forever, but you quickly stopped when you came to a cliff edge.

“You have no where to go, come with us, or jump off and die a horrible death.”

She was scarred, she thought “Where is the man, that said he would protect me no matter what, where is his honor I read about?”

Just than a dart barely grazed over her shoulder and knocked her off balance and she fell.

Striden saw her fall down and he swooped down after her and saw her hold her hand up and he flew as fast as he could to catch her. He had fear in his mind, fear that he would not be able to catch her and she would die. But he concentrated and he flew faster, finally he caught up with her and he took her into his arms and they flew through the small valley. He saw that she passed out and he only could smile.

“Its ok Maiden, you are safe and I will take you to the next town myself and make sure you are protected.”
