Spitfire Slave

Kiriel stopped after a moment, almost completely disorientated. She registered his words and frowned, completing the final steps of the dance anyhow.

"I don't think you understand. If I didn't want to, I wouldn't. I love dancing. The longer I continue to associate it with the past month or so, the more I lose it. I don't do it because I have to, and I didn't do it entirely because you wanted me to. I did it because I didn't mind, and I wanted to."

That said, Kiriel sat on the mat, but did not lie down. "There is payback, but that's beside the point. There is a reward for everything. And I didn't do it just to pay you back, as I have already said.

His comment about leaving earlier confused her momentarily. She for some reason equated the desire to get her to the town with the desire to get rid of her, but shrugged it off mentally. It didn't fit correctly- and Kiriel had never been good at knowing what others wanted or needed.

Kiriel shrugged her shoulders. "Whats there to tell? I'm 18 years old- or maybe 19, depending on how long I was in bondage. The seasons here are different then in my home. I'm from the mountains of the country of Drekd, and I has 3 brothers, all older. " She paused for a moment, thinking of what to say.

"I started to dance when I was very young, and wanted to dance in a company in the capital. I've never had any significant other, and basically, have had a rather boring and average life." Again Kiriel paused, momentarily confused with his comment, and unable to guess what he was thinking.

"And I have a question for you...would you have an extra dagger by any chance?"

He looked to her and smiled.

“I am glad you find pleasure out of dancing, and I do wish that you do find a life with your talents and I think that you should get some rest my dear. I will stay up and keep watch and make sure that you can sleep good.”

He thought of the hardships that she has been through and wished he could have found her sooner and maybe saved her family. No one like her should have to go through something like that.

“I am sorry that a Goddess like you had to suffer like you did, and I do hope you can live a good life from now on. I do have a extra dagger, and why would you need it for, you wont have to worry about anything I am here protecting you.”

He tossed that white glowing dagger into the air and he caught it, it looked strange, you knew he was holding one dagger but when he twirled it in the air, it showed 5 other daggers and he than caught the dagger in his hand and it was one again.

“You don’t need a weapon, now get some rest.”

He looked to the sky and smiled and than he stared again at Kiriel and smiled at her.

"I'm not very tired, I can take first watch." Kiriel protested but did lie down, curling up on the mat. It wasn't all that cold, luckily; and she had become used to sleeping whenever and wherever she could.

She chuckled quietly, brushing a piece of hair away from her face. "I'm not really a Goddess. And while you're here to protect me now, you won't be there forever. They took mine- and most people don't carry around extra swords or axes, so a dagger will do." Kiriel paused, and then smiled.

"Sorry, I'm being confusing. My town was very isolated, and so everyone learned how to at least use a dagger. I also learned how to use a sword and an axe, because that was what usually was around." Curving her back until it cracked, she settled back down, her head pillowed on her masses of curls.

"And maybe I don't need one now, but if you have an extra, may I have it when you leave me in the next town? If nothing else, daggers are useful in many tasks, and it's better to have one then to not."

Kiriel didn't understand why he kept calling her Goddess, but it made her feel safer strangely, more content. She looked him over under her eyelashes, and decided he was very handsome- and it would be a let-down that the only friend she had made in their country would be leaving her so soon.

He looked to her and smiled.

“And I if I did give you a weapon and you were to take first watch, would you be able to handle yourself against the evil that lies in this forest?”

He stood and walked over to his horse and pulled something that looked like a bedroll off the horse and he walked back over to you, still with that smile on his face, he than opened the bed roll and you saw small daggers and short swords, none of them looked to fancy, but they were weapons. He stripped on dagger and one short sword and he presented them to you.

“Here is the dagger you wanted and a sword, I am sorry for I do not have an axe, I do back at my home. I hope these will help you sleep better.”

He jumped atop a large bolder and it showed how dexterous he was and he stood watch, he sat in silence, but if you watched him, you would see he stole glances at you with every chance he got.

You remember hearing a while ago from people that tried to buy you, that there was a 1000 gold piece bounty already on The Angel of Death’s head, now would be the perfect time to strike at him if you so choose to go after it and the bounty was even bigger now that he rescued you, Striden did not even think about you doing that, he was more at ease around you. You did notice that when he was looking to you that his left hand was rubbing up and down his inner thigh, he was doing it and did not even know it.

He found you very enchanting and very beautiful and he was soon under the spell from staring to your eyes. He got down off the boulder and he walked to you and sat beside you and stared into your eyes.

“I don’t know why I am doing this, I never do this, but I feel compelled to be by yourside.”

Kiriel's jaw set stubbornly, and she nodded. "I couldn't get a hold of a weapon before- but now that I have them I can. And while I don't know what dwells in this forest, I'm not that bad with a blade." She sat up and took the dagger and short sword, the corners of her lips lifting up in a smile.

"Ah well, most people laugh when they see me with an axe. They think it's far too big for me." Her eyes had a mischieveous glint in them, from past occurences. For some reason she had liked the bulky weapon far more then the sword- and had previously possessed a very light one, but nonetheless a lethel weapon.

"Thank you." Kiriel remembered to murmur. "It probably will." Laying the weapons next to the mat the young woman laid herself down as well again. She remembered hearing of this bounty, but never for one moment thought of attempting to take you in, much less thought she would be able to do it.

After all, while she was decent with weapons, she was in no way a master. You had far more experience then her. And besides that, if she turned him in, they would only sell her again. Pointless. Added to this, Kiriel felt a bond of loyalty to Striden, for he had saved her. The young woman rarely if ever broke her loyalties.

Noticing you were looking at her Kiriel arched a brow slightly. She was unsure of how to deal with his intentions- she didn't want to guess wrongly and hurt him. He was indeed striking, and Kiriel felt a similar compulsion to be around him, though hers was less obvious to her thoughts as she had never been interested in a man before.

When you came over and sat beside her her breath caught for a moment, blinking. "I-I..." She started, and then shut her mouth. "Would you rather that I sit with you on the boulder, then, so that we can keep watch?" She inquired quietly, little shivers of nerves dancing along her spine.

He looked to her and smiled again.

“It matters not where we sit, for all I want to do is be by your side right now. I don’t know why these feelings keep coming, but I kind of like them. What are you feeling right now?”

He slowly inched his face closer and closer to hers as he gazed into her eyes and he saw that she was gazing back into his eyes, even though his eyes were white, he knew she was not frightened by that. Suddenly he captured her lips in a kiss, it was a passionate kiss, but he broke it feeling something was wrong and he looked to her.

“I am sorry for doing that, I don’t know what came over me. I do not want to do anything that you don’t want to do.”

Still he sat next to you and gazed into your eyes.

“What do you want to do, when we get into town?”

He wanted you to stay with him, but he knew that was not the right thing to do since the assassin guild was coming after him, he should get you far away from these lands, but that would mean breaking the borders and possibly more fighting.

“You tell me what you want to do and I shall make it happen.”

Kiriel shrugged, unable to take her eyes off you. "I don't quite know." The young woman had always found it difficult to share her feelings, and right at this moment they were in a whirlwind. To be sure, a part of her was near obsessed with him, but it wasn't all of her.

She wasn't startled when your eyes changed, and lifted her chin to meet your lips unconsciously. When you broke the kiss Kiriel blinked, surprised at her own actions.

"I never said I didn't want to do that. Please stop assuming my thoughts; I will certainly make it clear if I do not enjoy what you are doing." Kiriel remarked after a moment, brushing a curl from her face. Her tone was light; she certainly did not wish to injure you with harsh words.

Again she paused, mulling over the question. "I'm not sure. Maybe I won't want to stay in that town- and in that case, would you allow me to come with you to wherever you're headed?" Kiriel wasn't afraid of the violence that might come with staying with him. If nothing else she would be with her one friend, and that was a great deal better then none.

She chuckled softly, glancing up to the sky for a moment. "You shouldn't make such promises. What if I wanted to do something you didn't want to? What if I liked a certain thing that you despised?" Kiriel inquired, returning her gaze to your face.

He only smiled at her.

“I am glad you did want to kiss me back, cause now I know what your feelings are. You want to be around me don’t you Goddess?”

He took you into his arms and he leapt on top of the boulder and you saw the sky was filled with stars and the moon was quite large and Striden had you between his legs and his arms around you, your back was leaning against his chest.

“I have longed to find a woman that wanted to be around me, but everyone has heard the stories and is afraid to travel beside me, because of the dangers that follow me, but you seem to fear the dangers not.”

He than leaned in close to you and you could feel his hot breath over your exposed neck.

“I think I am falling in love with you, the more I am around you the more I grow for you in the heart. I don’t know what is happening. I never let love into my heart. But for you I am.”

He than devours your neck, he kissed and sucked there while his hands took your breasts into his hands and he fondled them.

“mmmMM stop me if I go to far, this is the first time I have made the first move on a woman, but you taste so good and you feel so good.”

He pinches your nipples in his fingers and he rolls them back and forth, he tugs on them, he is very gentle with you, but him kissing your neck was like a Vampire sucking your blood, but he was kissing it, you could feel his manhood growing very hard and pressing into your back as he did this.

“How far are you willing to go with this Goddess? I want you to be with me forever and forever I will protect you.”

He let go of your breasts and he made a fist with both hands and his gauntlets disappeared off his forearms and wrists, all you saw was his two glowing daggers, one glowed white and the other blue, they gave off a eerie feeling as you looked to them, he than fondled your breasts again when his hands were free.

“Love is what I feel.”

His right hand than traveled down to your lower region to do something but it moved so slowly and teasingly.

Kiriel's high cheekbones tinged red as she nodded in response to your first question. "Yes I do." The young woman murmured before Striden took her and lept onto the boulder, startled only with how loving your actions were.

The fabric of their shirts was the only thing that seperated her back from your chest, and the friction from the shirts rasping on skin sent goosebumps racing across her skin and a burning sensation between her legs. "I do not fear danger. It seems your longings have been answered." Kiriel managed to say, caught up in the feelings spinning through her mind.

She tilted her head to one side, allowing you all the access you would like of her neck. Her skin tingled with the sensuous touch of your lips, your tongue, the caress of your breath...

Her nipples hardened almost instantly from the attentions, the slivers of slight discomfort only heightening the pleasure she felt already. Kiriel arched her back to press her breasts against your hands, closing her eyes. The stars seemed to be incredibly far away, as everything else did- only you mattered to her right now.

Even if she hadn't been so aroused, so hot for this man after only a few minutes she would have told him the same thing in response to his question. "I'm willing to go to the stars and back many times over- I will stay by your side forever." Kiriel said between breaths as he released her breasts. Already she felt the loss of your hands on her keenly.

"I'm willing and hopeful that you will be the first and only man between my legs, and this night seems the perfect night to do so." She added, gasping softly as your hands returning to her acheing breasts and one began to stray farther down.

The attraction and love Kiriel had stubbornly refused from the moment she first saw you flooded her mind, and she wriggled, noticing the hard buldge pressing against the small of her back. She began to move from one side to the other, pressing back slightly on your erection to teasr.

"Love and lust is all I feel right now, my love." Kiriel murmured, thinking briefly for a moment of a nickname- hers was Goddess; what would his be? Again she slid against your shaft, spreading her theighs apart to welcome your hand if you wished. She began to slip her shirt over her head, revealing her slender, pale torso, supple and lean.

“I do believe you are afraid of the dangers, for you have no idea of what hunts us, but when you do see them, I feel you will be afraid. But don’t worry, I will not let them hurt you, for I have dealt with them before.”

She than started to tease him with the small of her back by rubbing against his cock, it felt good, Striden let out a soft low moan.

“Tell me what you desire, what do you want, for I will move at the pace you set Goddess.”

He than kissed up to ear and he blew warm air there before taking your earlobe into his mouth and he gently and lovingly nibbled on it.

“MMm you taste so good Goddess, I will be the only man between your legs if that is what you desire. I think going to the stars and back is a long far trip for you, but I will show you them one night.”

She started to remove her shirt when his hand slid down to her warm nexus, he helped her out with that and than he felt the softness of her skin and you felt his cock get harder and thicker through his pants. His hand finally got to your sweet lips and he rubbed around them making you wetter and wetter.

“Hmm you like that Goddess, I know you love it and you know that I love you. Love is what you will get and I can show you lust.”

He than kissed back to your neck and again started to suck and kiss over it, his left hand was massaging your breast and his right was rubbing teasingly over your wet lips. And oh did he love how hot you were down there.

"Afriad I may be but I am not some cowering, meek maid. I can fight as well." Kiriel grumbled, your moan making her even more excited. She was surprised at her reactions but did nothing to deter them.

"I want you, my champion, only you. I'm not good at setting a pace- any pace you pick is lovely with me." Kiriel replied, settling on the nickname of either Champion or Hero, but leaning towards the former. Her ears, flexible and soft, yielded to the attention.

"You feel incredible against me, you will be the only man between my legs. No matter how long the trip I think I have the endurance and desire to complete it. Over and over again as well." She continued to tease your cock, gasping softly as your hand found her damp lower lips.

Her shirt found it's way to the ground, and her ample breasts were exposed to the moonlight. Your hand continues to knead my breast as your other explores the areas still hidden by my pants and undergarment.

With every dirty or suggestive phrase Kiriel grew slicker, hotter in the depths between her legs. She nodded breathlessly to his last comment, more liquid rushing to her cunt to coat your fingertips when they brushed closer to her slit.

She was not a bit embaressed or ashamed at her reactions which could be considered sluttish by some. The only thing Kiriel could think about was you and the pleasure you were and would give her, and how she could please you as well. Truth was, deep down Kiriel had a slutty side- and it was near insatiable and drove her to hunger for his shaft to impale her untouched hole.

Her breath came quicker as she lifted a hand to stroke the side of your face, the young woman half-naked and near dripping already. Kiriel revealed in the feelings, pressing the apex of her legs down against your hand lightly.

“Oh you can fight can you, do you care to show me how well you can fight. Tell you what, we will play a little game, whoever can disarm and take to the ground and make them stay down with a fake kill, wins and the loser is at the winners will and has to do whatever they want.”

He than let you go and stood up and than in his hands flashed a white dagger and a blue dagger.

“I wont even use my sword, I will only use these daggers. Come on Goddess, lets see what you got.”

He than looked to where your weapons lay and he snapped and they flew to you and landed next to you. Striden took a defensive stance and smiled at you as he leapt down from the boulder.

“And yes I do have some magic knowledge in my spirit if you are wondering. Lets see how well you can dual wield.”

He looked to your beautiful breasts and he licked his lips. He tossed your shirt to you and he stretched. He still had a rock hard cock poking through his pants, but he was ready to fight, or play fight.

“Come my love, my Goddess of the Universe and Beauty, show me how well you can fight.”

She was so beautiful, and so graceful; he wondered how well she was, either way who knew what would happen here. Striden would not fight hard, he would fight lazy. We would see how this turns out.

Kiriel listened, and then smiled for a moment. "Now, does that really give me that much incentive to not lose?" She inquired, stretching as well. The sudden shift left her body moaning from need but the young woman ignored it.

"If you wish. I'll use my sword- I was never much good with hand to hand combat, and to be honest, I doubt I would be much good with a dagger against you." Kiriel said, and looked you over again. Her eyes widened slightly as her weapons flew to her, and she selected the sword you had gifted her with.

Finished with her stretching Kiriel lept down from the boulder easily, considering for a moment not putting on her shirt. It didn't bother her in particular, and it might unbalence you...

She decided to put it on anyhow, figureing in this particular battle, it might not be that bad to lose. "I see. I have no magic in my being, or not anything with fire or flashes or bangs. I missed the magical gift in my family."

Kiriel also made a decision not to fight particularly hard; while she grated at being a slave, that was against her will. She was not naturally dominent when it came to the bed, and while she wouldn't complain if she did beat him, neither would she mourn a loss.

"I surely will my champion, and I hope you are not too dissapointed with my fighting prowess." Kiriel raised the sword into the defensive stance, feeling still the trickle of dampness between her theighs. You were still incredibly striking, lithe form and handsome face the cause of her 'leak' in the depths of her...lower regions.

He only smiled and nodded his head when he saw you took the defensive stance.

“Please Goddess, take the attack, come to me and bring me your all, show me how good you are.”

He now walked a line that was not there, he waited your attack, he muttered something and his blades took a transparent look now, he would not hurt her.

“Come on now my Goddess of Beauty, show me the anger that is built up inside of you, just imagine me on of those people that sold you and treated you badly.”

He kept that smile on his face. He would just block and parry, he would not strike back, he wanted to feel her anger.

“Magic is in everyone, you just have to know how to unlock it, now the degree of magic you know, well that depends on how much you want it and what you decide to do with it. I have great knowledge of magic, but do I choose to use it to its full potential, no cause its would cause to much destruction.”

He swept the hair out of his face and he smiled at her.

Shrugging, Kiriel shifted from the defensive stance, altering her grip around the sword slightly. When his daggers went transparent, the young woman frowned.

"Put them back how they were before. I'm not a china doll, to be broken; stop treating me as if I will be shattered. I may not be as good as you, but don't underestimate what you don't know." Kiriel grumbled, swinging her sword in idle circles.

His comments about anger set her blood simmering, but she had locked her raw anger too far down to be brought out so quickly. The only anger that had been useful to her was channeled; what he was asking for was the raw emotion, unchained and unrestrained.

And she feared if she did that then she wouldn't be able to halt it.

"Magic testers tested me; they found nothing. But perhaps they missed something." Kiriel didn't take up her sword to strike, waiting for either you to change your daggers back to how they were before- or to do the same thing with her sword.

Kiriel returned the smile, tieing her hair back in a sort of knot to keep it from her face.

“Come and attack me Goddess, show me your wrath or I will draw it out of you. You will not hurt me, for I control this battle, and I am wearing armor and you are not. Show me the depths of your hell.”

He than puts his hand inside his pocket and he draws out a small orb that glows green.

“You see what this is, I can draw the anger out, with just this orb. I only have 3 of them and once I use it, it takes 10 years to recharge. But I think I will use one of them now.”

He starts a chant of magical words, things you cant even comprehend and soon you see the entire area change, you see you are back at the slave house and you are being sold, to a man that treated you the worse.

“Now Goddess, show me the anger.”

That is the last thing you heard that sounded like Striden, soon you saw, felt, heard things you used to.

“Come on now slut, get to dancing and make it good, or I will punish you like the dirty whore you are.”

You see the man is wearing a suit and has a riding crop.

“HURRY UP, DO IT NOW!”

"I do not fight with anger! Stop attempting to make me do something I do not wish to do!" Kiriel replied hotly, annoyed by his constant litany to show her wrath. She wanted to forget those days, not dwell on them unceasingly.

Glancing at the orb and then turning her glare on Striden, Kiriel opened her mouth to retort, but then he began to chant, and her words were swallowed by his. Picking up a rock on the ground to toss at him- Gods above, would he ever listen to a word she said?- the scene abruptly skewed before her, and she pitched to the left.

Now Goddess, show me the anger.

And with that the visions she tried so hard to keep away rushed back, and Kiriel screamed to whoever was listening. "I hate you! You idiotic fool!" What was he thinking? Why was it so damn imperitive that she showed anger? Why? Why?

The man with the riding crop snapped at her legs, and her hands balled into fists- and one around the sword hilt. Surprised that it had come with her- where ever that fool had sent her- Kiriel raised it, and turned to the man.

"No. I don't want to." Her rage of having to change her moods so drastically, of being forced into this by that-that- argh, Kiriel couldn't even think of a word for him- simmered, nearly reaching the boiling point.

Jumping down from the stage where she had been, she began to advance on the man. "I hate, I despise, I destest when people make me do things I don't wish to do. I hate being manipulated. I hate being lied to. I hate being forced into something I have no wish of doing. I don't know who you are, and I don't particularly care. Leave me alone and get far, far away from me. Now."

Her words to the other were clipped, measured, audibly restrained from becoming too loud, dripping with ice and malice. Kiriel moved towards him, her movements, calculated and dangerous, furious beyond words with Striden, and therefore she needed to vent.

And this man just happened to be the scapegoat.

He heard every word she spoke and he felt that she was not only getting angry, but would not fight, she did not believe in this illusion like most people would, she was very strong willed and that is what made a warrior. When she yelled out she wanted him to leave and go far, far away, it shattered the orb and ended the illusion and only left with Striden looking at her. He let the dust fly out of his hand as a gentle breeze blew and he muttered a word and both of his daggers returned to there normal color and he did a fancy spin with his daggers and they vanished.

“I am sorry for what I have done Goddess, but if you wish to become a warrior, than you must do what you just did. You leave everything behind and fight with a clear mind. I will do as you wish, I am sorry if I have hurt you, I will be on my way. To get out of this forest and to the next village just follow the lighted stones that will guide you and only you.”

He packed his stuff up and strapped his sword to his side and he looked to you.

“You have magic in you and you have a warriors spirit in you, all you have to do is embrace it. It has been an honor meeting a Goddess such as you.”

He than started to walk off and you saw he left most of his supplys for you to survive.

The vision she saw skewed again, tilting on it's side, reverting back to Striden and the forest. Kiriel was breathing heavily, her rage abruptly dropping now that she didn't see what plagued her dreams and formed her nightmares.

"I don't want to become a warrior. If I ever implied that, I'm most sorry." Kiriel heard and registered the rest of his words in silence, and a slight wideing of her eyes. Why was he leaving? She was most certainly upset with him, but what had he seen? The young woman was not aware that he had heard what she said, and was most confused.

"Where are you going?" The words slipped out of her mouth before she could stop them, dropping the sword and taking a few steps in his direction. "And why? Why do you just send me back to times I am eager to forget and then simply leave?"

She forced any trace of hurt from her tone, though her eyebrows knit together. Her blue-gray eyes followed him, waiting for his reply to her questions.

He looked to her and smiled.

“Well you asked me to leave and I do as you wish. I am sorry for trying to bring the anger out of you, but that is something us warriors use in battle. I don’t, I have a clear mind in battle, but for some anger helps. I can see you don’t want to be a warrior and that is fine, I only thought you did. Forgive me for trying, I am sorry for trying to make you do something you didn’t want to do, now if you will excuse me, I will be on my way.”

In reality he was not going to go very far, he would make sure she got to the next town safe. He would watch her from a distance and he would protect her like he said he would till she got to the next town. The ball was in her court now.

Fustrated, Kiriel kicked a nearby pine cone, sending it hurtling through the underbrush. "I told the memory to go away. I want nothing to do with those times, nothing! I want to forget them and bury them and be done with them for the rest of my life." Her voice was low, more to herself then anyone, though it was audible throughout the clearing.

Turning away from Striden, she walked over to the sleeping mats and began to roll the one he had given her up, almost mechanically. Shaking her head to rid herself of the memories, Kiriel started to hum a soft song, completely numb after the jolts and shocks of the emotional rollar coaster that seemed to be her current life.

Taking only the supplies she felt she would require to reach the town, Kiriel shoved the sword down into the pack, not wanting to look at it any longer, before rising, and taking a quick look about the clearing before finishing the tasks of breaking camp.

As he walked he sensed something was wrong and he looked back to where he left Kirel behind, suddenly his hand fell to the handle of his sheathed Katana and he stood in the defense stance.

“Come out and show yourself, for you fight in the Forest of Wraiths, I control them here.”

Than two dark forms dressed in strange armor showed themselves and carried around there necks glowing jewels and they had long daggers and assassin claws for weapons and Striden knew who they were.

“So the Pasha has sent the guild after me and wants me dead and his prize back. Figures he wouldn’t come for himself, coward.”

Striden dodged a dagger and ducked from a swipe of a sword from out of nowhere, invisible attackers, Striden could only hear them and he quickly had to dodge two to three more attacks, than four more figures appeared and Striden shook his head.

“Coward attackers, bring the fight to me, cause you will need to kill me to get to her.”

They again strike and Striden does not draw his Katana, but he draws a smaller looking Katana and starts to only parry there attacks away, he than did not realize what they were doing, in reality they were keeping him busy and leading him away from where he needed to go.

Back where Kirel was, three men dressed in black strange looking armor and had glowing jewels around there neck just seemed to step out of the air formed around Kirel and looked to her. One-stepped forward and had no weapons drawn.

“I will give you one chance to just come with us and go back to the Pasha, but if you do not take that one chance than it will come to pain and suffering.”

His voice sounded very low and ghost like, the two behind them drew their weapons and stood ready. Where Striden was you didn’t know, he was gone.

The men appeared almost silently, and Kiriel froze once she saw them. The tiny hairs on the back of her neck prickled; she had ignored it before, and now regretted it. The young woman paused for a moment, thinking it over. If she said yes, she might be able to get them to back off long enough to scurry up a tree.

If she said no, though, she wouldn't risk getting clapped in chains before she could make her escape. Shifting backwards slightly, Kiriel slid her hand into the pack, on the pretense of running her fingers through her curls.

"Pasha is a coward. I'm surprised that such gentlemen as yourselves work for such a man, who won't even come out and do his own work." She commented, hoping to stall them at least for a bit.

"Such fine and strong gentlemen you are as well, I'm surprised the fool managed to get you to work for him at all." Kiriel added, her voice smooth. Her mind was awhirl, thinking mostly of where Striden had gone.

"Perhaps you know a man named Striden?" The last word she pitched to carry over distance, and then cleared her throat as if the change in pitch was merely the result of a cold. "Fine man as well." And hopefully one with good hearing and who can get here quickly... Kiriel thought ruefully to herself, smiling disarmingly at the men.

As Striden fought defensively he had no idea where he was till he was faced with a large gap in the ground and a rocky dark fall. He had no idea how many assassins there were, but he was sensing there were about nine of them. Than he finally realized what they were doing, this was a diversion all to get the protector away from the pray. He would have to slap himself when he got out of this later, but now he had to get himself out of this somehow, but how, he didn’t know. He heard the assassin yell out to keep the attacks coming.

Back at the camp

“Lady Kirel, stop trying to trick us, you have no chance of escape, and your friend/protector is dead or dying now. You see we are in the forest of wraiths and he controls them, but with these jewels they can do nothing. Now come with us so we can take are rest and riches from the Pasha. And do not think of trying to fight us, you have no chance. You three take her, you two over there get the poison darts ready incase she tries to resist.”

The assassins take there places and three of them start to walk over to you while you see two others drawing hand crossbows and loading them with green darts and the leader looks to you with a evil smile.

“Do this the easy way and you will not get hurt, is it really that bad with the Pasha, you get anything you want from him as long as you do a good job. Please don’t resist, I would hate to hurt such a sex toy such as yourself.”

Back to where Striden was fightning

Striden looked around and could not see any of the attackers now, some type of magic hid them all, but he could hear their movements and still defend himself. But what was he to do about killing them, he would have to see them to kill them, otherwise if he hit one, he would be left open for an attack, so he had to figure it out, suddenly he thought of something, with his right hand held to the sky he chanted a few words and a bolt of lightning struck the ground and than another hit a tree and splintered the bark, Striden than jumped from the hole of baddies and grabbed a shard of wood that was long and not burning, it was not a perfect spear, but it would work. He would use it to keep the baddies at bay and away from him, he had to get back to the camp and protect Kirel.

"What worth are rest and riches if gained by cowardly deeds? Really, gentlemen, you couldn't even have fought the man? Instead you decide to pick on a girl? Tsk tsk, and I thought so highly of you." Kiriel admonished, taking another step back.

The darts reminded her of the days she had been a slave, how angry and how furious she had been. Stridren just had to remind her of how she could use her fury, didn't he. Now she had to pick where to stomp down her pride. To fight and to fail in their eyes is better then staying silent and failing in your own. A voice murmured in her mind.

Kiriel's fingers found the sword, but bypassed it for a set of daggers she had stowed in the bag. If she was to suffer- which she would either way, by submitting or by fighting- the young woman did like to deserve it.

Shifting them into her grip and whipping her hair around to conceal her movements, Kiriel hurled the daggers at the men with the crossbows, hoping they at least scratched them, and at most might distract them or bury the sharp blades in them.

Darting towards the other three assasains she sidestepped one, nearly wrenching her shoulder out of it's socket as he grabbed it before she managed to get away. Faced by boulders on one side and assasains on the other Kiriel jumped nimbly onto the boulders, crouching down.

Her full concentration was on the three assasains closing in on her, with a slight note on the others in the area. Damn it, where is Striden?
