How can this possibly be justified? Its a COMPLETE and TOTAL outrage.

I try not to let it bother me like it did in college, to the point where it ruins my life, but sometimes it still gets to me.

I can't think of a more blatant, in your face, message to those excluded from having history month(s) for their characteristics, that YOU ARE NOT WANTED NOR WELCOME in today's America.

Now, they even have "woman history month"! FFS, what does that mean? Women NEVER lived by themselves in a vacuum, except for a few nunneries. There is no distinct woman's history by definition. At least with the ethnic groups you can at least say they often lived in distinct communities or neighborhoods. Woman history month is the "mother of all history month idiocies."

I don't think you're angry enough.

Those people who were born in chains, forced to live on a reservation or in an internment camp had no right to be angry, but you certainly do.

Women's history month honors the role women have played throughout history. It's intertwined with women's' struggle for rights and equality and honors historically significant women. It's a time for people to remember the role women have played throughout history despite historians often minimizing or ignoring their contributions - as well as a time to think about the impact historical events have played on woman.

You don't have to participate.

You went to college and black history month ruined your life.

Oh fuck, that is funny.

Give us some more campus humor.

I don't think anything in college ruined my life. Come to think of it nothing so far has ruined my life since I still, you know have a life. I figure a heart attack or stroke will probably be what ruins it.
