Spacebar 3.0 >.<

hello everybody.
well happy friday, make good plans. and drink coffee.

Ok what's with the continued robo calls with the new AI that sounds real until it doesn't process that full question??
I just got one in on my fax line. I asked why they were calling me on a fax line
& the AI only picked up why were they calling me.
So I hung up.

Big Brother at WORK ..... Is it time to unplug yet??? This coming from an IT guy!!! Hope you are doing well Starry!

I got home from my visit last night, had such a great time! Hope you all have a terrific weekend!

Let's see now. Dumpling likes Friday's better then Mondays. CrossPT did a coffee drive by. Starry has an aversion to bot calls. SA walked around in the house and Azul is running between jobs.
Sound's like another day at the Spacebar to me...:)

I just finished making a great big pot of spagattie with meat in it and am letting the pots soak. Yeah, I'm kind of messy in the kitchen but I get things done.

Killing the landline when I move. Here it was my DSL line and I had the fax with an old answering machine I hadn't killed yet.

Although I might miss the guy from India who calls me from "the Windows company" offering to fix my computer. He hangs up on me every time I tell him he's called an internal number at Microsoft and we're beta testing a new tracer software to track VOI calls and he's being recorded too besides tracked.

You need to deliver cause that sounds really good!!

It actually was, most of what I cook turns out ok but sometimes I get lucky and a meal I've cooked is really good.

I'm generally not allowed to cook since that's a community service. No one likes to see whose on ER duty at the hospital. I'm also not allowed power tools, pressure cookers, guns or drones. But I am allowed to buy food and I'm allowed to bake.

*starts coffee*

Good morning all. :)

Today's agenda is a simple pleasure one. I am going to get my copy of Pokemon Sun this morning that has been already reserved. I then want to get a few hours in before taking my daughter to work, then going in for a short shift tonight.

Okay - half a country under my belt! It's good to be back in California. It looks like a quiet day here in the Spacebar. Quiet days are good. I'm settling back in from my travels and enjoying a cloudy day in all it's splendor.

Hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start. I'm heading out to lunch at a little Italian place with some friends and I am looking forward to something that isn't middle of the road Midwestern cooking. Bring on the spices!

And just because I can...a little musical interlude.

Somewhere In California

Lots accomplished today by noon. Enough I've rested this afternoon and still hurt. But my friend's kids packed palm pods and flags, pulled stuff down from up too high for me to reach and stuff from out under my bed. The JD barrel is wrapped and has a wheeled mover under it. The avocado tree is off to its new home and a fourth 55 gallon container of shredded stuff is out of here.

I am so sore and hurt. Tomorrow is gonna be a quiet day I think.

hey spaceers hope all is well

Paul - great music - he put on a great show back in the day!
Starry - get some rest.
Azul - enjoy the day!

So how is your Thanksgiving going to be?
I am headed to my daughters.

Have a great time in Gulfport!!! Do something fun and just for you!

I've got to get the hams over to the fire station for the First Responder
dinner but nothing going on here but more packing for me.

Starry - keep going! You're almost there! :) Then, hopefully, you can string together a few restful days. I wish I was closer, I could blow the conch shell and brow-beat my friends into helping.

Shmily - enjoy the family visit. Eat tasty food and engage in entertaining conversations and activities. Maybe do something crafty, like make political action figures and have a ceremonial burning of them.

Thanks CrossPT - it is always good to come home after a trip. Sometimes I think that is the best part of a trip, the eventual homecoming.

Hi Ashes and Azul - hope your day was like a long hug from the universe. It you are lucky it gave you a little ass squeeze as well. The universe can be kind of frisky.

Tnman - ahhh, the fortunate accidents of life. Some of them happen in the kitchen

MMW - welcome home and glad to hear your trip went well.

Hi Wykd, Hot, Soul - hope your day was smooth and something randomly cool happened.

My day was good, spend it visiting friends and just generally wandered around for most of the day, then spend the evening reading about the fundamentals of TMT (Terror Management Theory). I'm going to do a preliminary consultation with a potential client next week and see if there is an opportunity to turn some analytic tools lose in their environment.

Terror Management Theory is a weighty subject that's discussed in some business or leadership degree programs. I've heard I bandied in some government sponsored training seminars as well. It generally brings a confused or blank look to attendees faces who haven't heard of it. Mortality has an untold effect upon marketing.

Interesting stuff Paul, useful in a lot of ways, a good debating point in discussing the pro's and con's of nihilism. Overall your hitting on some heavy Kennedy School of Government stuff there.

I am good....

I have a partial day shift this morning and I should be home just in time to see the Skins take on the Packers tonight. :) Add some new Pokemon Sun and my day is gonna be good. :)

Good mrning all.

oven on to heat up the house... check
trash & recycling out... check
groceries in... check

time to rest then work out a list for finishing packing next week. I have some furniture that will not be going with me. So I have to find them homes. I have to cancel my landline, put my internet addy on forward & cancel the DSL service, set up the electric in my name at the new place. Then the biggie I have to find someone to help me lift the JD barrel into the truck so I can drive it to Ybor City. Even empty it took 3 of us yesterday to wrap it & tip it over.

There needs to be a new service out there called Just Like a BoyFriend. A service to call someone when I need a little muscle to help get things done. Although the last BF didn't like to be called a BF & he sure didn't like to ever be useful either so maybe it's just a bad idea.

TMT sounds like an interesting class to sit in on.

We had something like that a church I went to years ago as a single parent of a young boy. Our singles department was like that - we could call any of the guys - with no pressure - to help with cars, moving etc. We ladies returned the favor by cooking a home cooked meal - cleaning house or laundry. also couples adopted single parents and our children had a place to stay anytime we needed. We reciprocated by child sitting for them.

If I was closer I would come help -
