Spacebar 3.0 >.<

What would it be considered? A seek and find maybe?

I just looked up Rift. Looks like a good play. What classes does it have? Tell me a bit about it please. I am ready to move on from Wiz101 anyway.

It's free to play. Don't spend money, you don't need to. 5 classes now (just added one). Cleric, Mage, Primalist, Rogue, and Warrior. All classes can do anything (dps/support/heal/tank)

Nice. I prefer to tank. Just how I roll.

Hello all.

Wow!!.......
That's all I can say is wow!!

But we try to avoid politics, so a different topic to start this Wednesday morning.
I was told two different things by two different supervisors when it came to my decision making skills. One said I was too much of a planner. The other said I was too impulsive. Which way are you when it comes to making a decision?

The perfect storm is the middle ground, but which way do you swing?

Man of action, but what I do requires it. I have to make judgement on the fly. That's the protection business.

I found that it depends on the situation. If you have time to make a decision, then use it. If not, then just go with your gut. My previous jobs were all very reactive, so I often had to make quick decisions.

Rift???? You were kicking ass and taking names in that a few months ago, did you pick back up on it again?
I know I can't stop talking about my gaming experiences, but that's really all that's exciting in my life, lol. So much happens in the game each day, old friends, new friends, this is why I love a smaller MMO, you get to know everybody.

Did you play FF14? If not, what other mmos have you played? You're in for a huge shock if you've mostly played Wiz101 lately. Wizards 101 a good game to play if you have kids. I heard of it from an mmo friend and just had to check it out one time a few years back. It was nothing like the mmos I was used to playing though.

Most games are saturated with dps. I prefer heals or support. Being a tank will get you far in dungeons and raiding! For pvp and normal questing, not so much except in certain circumstances.

I'm very much a perfectionist, everything has to be just perfect. But I'm also spontaneous. If I had to choose just one of those qualities to describe myself, that would be very hard. My personality is spur of the moment, impulsive, so I'll roll with that. But keep in mind I have so many detailed plans too, lol!

Well after everything was over last night and I was headed to bed I thought of the absurdity of all the media shock and such and started laughing.

I'm mostly a planner Azul but frequently spot decisions are in order.

It's been a circus for sure. :) But last night I considered myself lucky to have friends to hang with in my game (and one on Skype) that were able to make me smile and laugh throughout the night. We didn't even ask political affiliation, but every game re-spawn we laughed on how we'd tab out and check out the election results so far. I'm so lucky to have friends like this.:heart:

In order to rock both Spontaneity and Careful Planning is to be a lightning fast reflex thinker and just act! Much like in gaming!

I wasn't going to say anything, but if you *did* want me to say anything, ask anything but that. Be a conversation starter/continuer!

I love getting to know someone new. I enjoy learning of people's lives, experienced and beliefs. Most of my conversations are private, because I ask or answer personal questions. I love analyzing someone ( non judgemental )and breaking down the psychological aspects of their behavior. I have millions of questions and like to share different opinions, maybe even debate. Most I am a person who enjoys pleasing, cheering people up, being the shoulder to cry on and giving advice.

I would like to know what the most important issue that you feel strongly (in your life or society)about and why ?

I have millions of others lol.

Thank you Tiamo, it's very nice of you to invite this interaction.

right now my most important issue is to figure out where this beeping is coming from. Damn house is too big. I'm about to take a nap, but I will try and think of something later.

Also, this question sounds like something I don't discuss in public, so I'll just say I want everyone and myself to be happy and kind to each other. :)

The beeping's probably a low battery warning in a smoke or carbon dioxide detector. That's an easy fix when you get around to it. If not that is a battery backup in a surge protector or household alarm.

If you care to share I am all for a conversation in this thread or in private. If you don't it's okay with me too.

Yeppers... what they all already said

Is it Friday yet??? I'm tired, sore & hurting today.

I made it thru Coffee with a Cop this morning & helped get some things lined up for Operation Santa this year. The volunteer lunch was really much nicer then I expected. I was included as tech staff but not mentioned beyond the list in the program... Thank You God. I prefer to be stealth and help quietly as needed so the busy bodies don't pick me apart. I have limited energy still and don't need to waste it on that crap. Some of these people like to be big fish in a little pond. I prefer to be supportive & invisible to those ego fish.

It's the middle of the week unfortunately. 🙁

I figured out the beep, it was the home security system. I don't think it's activated, as in alerting the police if there is a breakin. But I found a code to shut it off. No more beeping!

I'll see you all in a few days hopefully. I have things to do for now.

Hi Spacelings

So, today I've mostly been a grief counselor (over the election).

I'm a detailed planner who also lays contingency plans layered on contingency plans. Then, when I execute, I can very quickly switch from plan to plan down the contingency tree. To the observer it looks like improvisation, but really it's not.

It's a way of thinking I first learned as a young boxer at the local CYO, then was reinforced in the military, then as a cop. It makes me appear calm, swift and decisive. (While inside I'm doing the old "when in doubt run in circles scream and shout" - just never outside.)

O - Orient
O - Observe
D - Decide
A - Act
(Repeat the loop)

I was trained to utilize the OODA loop myself which interestingly enough was developed by a fighter pilot. I often used the poker faced calm demeanor as well. Enough on that.

Grief counseling is probably apt and more so depending upon where you live or the friends you interact with. All I'll say is this has all been an interesting electoral process but I believe it to be much ado of what is or will be.

I guess it really depends on the decision to be made. If it is as simple as what's for dinner / or where to go for dinner - quick and easy decision. If it is life changing I tend to plan it out and see different scenarios play out in my head.
