Tiamo - enjoy the park! Dogs are very zen. They live in the moment.

Cats on the other hand are nihilists.

Tnman and Starry - they lived through an amazing time in history and are extraordinary people.

I'll try to take pics and share pics of the real Luxie today.

And Sassy, reread my posts. I didn't think he would take it the wrong way for one, it was just a tease. I've teased him before. Everybody knows he's the most hardcore gamer on Lit. :rose:

There are more important things to worry about in life than being teased that you are not a gamer, hehe.

My favorite teachers in school were the ones who'd served in the military because they were more grounded.

I worked with a lot of Korean and Vietnam vets who were great. The best Pastor I ever knew was a crew dog on a B-29 during the Korean war and later went to college and divinity school. Then he became an Army Chaplin and served in Vietnam. Did he ever have some stories...

I've always enjoyed teachers who could merge the esoteric and theoretical with practical real world experiences. They've had a tremendous impact on my life over the years.

I thought I'd hit up the juke box and provide a musical interlude. This is Sweet's cover of Barroom Blitz from Suicide Squad.

omg I have always loved that song! and of course really enjoyed the movie. Yay HARLEY quinn!

It was a very enjoyable movie and Harley is such a great character. I loved the soundtrack on the movie and I've enjoyed the wide variety of tribute stuff folks have put on YouTube.

Good evening all. Looks like I missed all the "fun".

I read Tiamo's challenge. Tiamo has been a good friend to me ever since the first time we said hi back in December upon my return to Lit. I am also friends with most folks who come in here. No one who posted in this thread today has done anything to hurt me. I admit I am kept out of a bunch though probably because of my nature. I have so much offline drama, so many things I work on that I do not discuss that I choose not to involve myself in anything on here too deeply.

Chris, I respect you as a person. You are very opinionated and I read through the long posts to consider what you say.

If there's anyone around who I have offended, pm me so we can square it away. I come to Lit for relaxing and checking on my friends.

And Beastie, did you catch that special six pack I hid in your fridge?

Now, as for the jargon stuff. Y;all lost me a ton. lol....

I speak English, some Spanish, military, restaurant speak, teacher speak, powdercoating speak and a few other things. I do try to make an effort to explain things, maybe too much if I say something unfamiliar to someone though.

 Starry
 Tiamo
 Sassy if she sees this.

Welcome back Azul.

Here's Luxie at the dog park. She had so much fun chasing the other dogs around. Luckily, they loved it just as much.

Look at that sunshine and green grass! Who would've thought it's almost mid-November in Colorado? Well, I guess Colorado is just an awesome state and mostly has beautiful days like this, I'm used to being in the Midwest.

That's a good picture of Luxie out enjoying herself Tiamo. I love the backdrop, the dog parks around here are surrounded by chain link fencing because its less expensive. But they look like a prison yard and are depressing to be around.

This is the most popular dog park around. And it's convenient for me to get to. I'm going to try to make it there at least every other day. I want to be "in" with the dog-crowd. I want everyone to know Luxie's name.

Actually, I just want Luxie to release some energy and keep fit.

we found a great dog park in Enid OK, the pup loved making new doggie friends - it is funny to watch how social some dogs are. I made some great friends during the 3 yrs we were there. Still stay in touch with some.
Haven't found a good one since. The small towns we have been in the last few years haven't had one. The puppy misses his "social" time.
Luxie is beautiful pup.

I've noticed dog's that have been through obedience training enjoy their doggie park expeditions every bit as much as their owners do. They also reinforce their socialization skills which are more perishable then we realize. You've got a good thing going there enjoy every minute with her outside.

Luxie looks like she's quite content. It's a beautiful evening here in California, the windows are wide open. Hope everyone is having an easy night.

What part of California ?

I have never been to the west coast

Thank you shmily! I've lived in the Midwest and Minnesota had the most amazing dog park ever. It was so huge, I never saw the fences, plus it had a river running through it. I live in Colorado now and the closest I saw to that (with river/water) was up in Estes Park, but it was small. Then there's a place close to me that I could hike with a leash, but the off-leash area was not the biggest I've seen either.

I'm so glad I have a dog, she helps force me outside and socialize now and then at the dog parks and training. Dog people are good people. :rose: I'm also a cat person too though, haha. :cattail:

It's amazingly beautiful too, I'm about to take a walk outside.

I know you're asking Paul, but if I visit, it would be San Francisco, which is probably chilly now. But so many times I take the long drive down to San Diego. I need to visit Yosemite very soon, but if I go in the next few months, it would just be to relax more up in the north.

You need to visit CA, even if it's just LA and some of the outlying areas. Santa Barbara and San Francisco are like visiting a foreign country. Then go up into Northern CA and it's like you've entered another state.

...peeks in and thanks Jesus she isn't a gamer. Lol

Hope everyone is having a better evening than it appears the day was.

Hi there. So the water kettle bubbled over a little today...it's all right now...;)

Yeah, hehe, it wasn't intentional, I was trying to entertain, but it backfired.

Just let me know and I'll pull out the puppy pics again!

I went back and caught up a little, but got bored mainly because I understand nothing about gaming or why you'd fight/argue about it.

I just got home a little bit ago. Work, interview for a new job, and got my hair done. I got to chat with CJ for awhile which was nice. We're planning on seeing each other next week, so I have to try to get purdy.

Good luck with the new job MMW! And have fun with CJ, sounds like you get to see him a lot.

Thanks, I won't know anything about the job for a couple weeks, but I have my fingers crossed. We get to see each other about once a month, wish it was more but we make it work. :)

Good to hear about the job interview, I hope it works out good for you. Even better to hear you and CJ are getting together again to, happiness is always a good thing.
I recently turned down an ombudsman position, it was something I've always wanted but I decided to go with my instincts and pass on it.
