I've been craving my homemade chicken and dumplins with some green beans and corn.

I just love good chicken & dumplins.... do you make the dumplins from scratch or do you cheat and use biscuit dough?

Btw.. Born in Northern Tn.. grew up in Southern Ky .. lived in Nevada and Wisconsin for awhile.. have also lived in Texas and Mississippi.. back in Southern Ky...

Dumplings from biscuit dough? Sacrilege. My granny would be turning over in her grave if she heard that. That old lady never had anything but homemade biscuits in her whole life. She made her own butter, too. Yum. What I'd give. At least she taught me how to cook. Now if I only had the time.

My grandmother taught me to cook too. She always said I'd never catch a man on my looks. That was my sister's way and place. I needed to learn to cook if was to ever hope to 'find a man'.

I cook for my charge family all the time. I made chicken fried steak and gravy for dinner today and tomorrow I'm cooking up a picnic shoulder ham with all the trimmings.

I cook for my charge family all the time. I made chicken fried steak and gravy for dinner today and tomorrow I'm cooking up a picnic shoulder ham with all the trimmings.

My first wife made them from biscuit dough.. or was it her mom.. anyway... the marriage didn't last long but not because of her cheating in the kitchen.
