Oh what a sensation. Just frightened myself.
Am male. Preparing for a nice sounding session, I inserted a relatively small 8 Fr (24mm) Hegar sound (8"-long, slightly curved and recurved stainless steel sound meant primarily for women) down my penis as a warmup. Re-lubed and inserted a 10 Fr (30mm). I've been sounding for a while, and although a 10 Fr is a medium-sized sound, it slid down my penis easily until only an inch or so was visible.
I was preparing to use much larger and longer sounds meant for men so I twisted the Hegar and at the same time pressed downward to stretch the tissues and the sound disappeared down my shaft. Using my little finger, I inserted the tip of my finger in my penis and pressed the 10 Hegar down further; slowly, it went deeper, then it seemed to pick up speed.
I've warmed up this way many times; however, this time the sound turned into the Energizer Bunny and kept going and going and going on it's own accord. I don't mind admitting I was frightened. I could feel the top of the sound down arround the top/middle of my scrotum and it wouldn't come out.
My experience prevented full-scale panic but I worried about an embarrasing visit to the ER. Fortunately, I was able overcome the enormous urge to urinate all over my carpet on the way to the bathroom; I made it and squatted slighted over the commode while inserting the long, middle finger of my left hand up my anus. I counldn't even reach the bottom end of the sound but I was able to patiently massage the sound upward until finally the top peeked out from the head of my penis and I was able to retrieve it.
I admit it; I was scared. I won't use a Hegar again but as I type this I'm getting a woody thinking about the two different types of [male] sounds (10"-long) and (11.5"-long) waiting for me.
