Sorting volunteer editors

Hi Lit friends,
Is there a way to sort through the volunteer editors aside from scrolling through? I've spent my lunch break reading about the volunteer editors but couldn't find an answer.

I write various types of stories and am well aware that one editor may have zero interest in editing my other stories.

Is there a filter for it, e.g. interracial? I only have a few things but am well aware they need improvement.

Cheers,
Gal

I can't help you on the editor sort — I too have spent too much time scrolling though the list.

But, I can tell you that the link to your stories is not right. The one you have redirects to the Control Panel of whoever clicks on it — based on user IP address I assume. What you want is a link to your personal story list. One way to find that is; From you Control Panel choose 'Explore' - 'Authors' then in the search box, put in your user name. That will take you to a list that should have your user name on it - choose that, which takes you to your personal profile and personal story list - this is the link you want.

(There may be a faster way to get there, but this should do it.)

Cheers for the help :)

I might take it out for now, there's only a couple of stories there and they could be better, but once I'm happier with them I'll link them.

Thanks again!

But damn, it'd be great if the editor list had a search function, just like there is for authors.

This may seem too easy but have you tried the drop down box at the top of the list? You can select the category of your story and it will filter the list to those editors who will edit from that category. Maybe I didn’t understand your question though.

Gal, what categories are the stories in and about how long (in words) are they? At least a few "volunteer editors" aren't listed but do a fairly good job. By not being listed, they can be pickier about what stories they work with.

Galatae, Just read "My Neighbour Aleksei" and "A Cock Sucking Fantasy". I really enjoy what you're doing. You're crafting some very unique works, and in my opinion you don't have a great need for an editor if this style is what you intend to stay with.

While these works you've posted do not fit the usual story style with a developed arc, character development and such — they are enjoyable. Anyway, hope this helps and encourages you to keep going.

Drylips, I honestly didn't see that option when I was on my phone. It feels kind of obvious now.

Randy:
Romantic coupling: 2460 words two lovers meet up after a long time apart. Pretty much straight to smut but with lots of bad puns and jokes.

Non-human (cat girl) 14221 (I sat for three hours on a plane and typed this without breaks. I couldn't type fast enough to keep up with my brain) so it's the roughest of drafts. Basically there's an island where there are cat girls. It's written as they're an 'experiment' but it never gives clear descriptions of them. One of my readers sees it as anime cat girls, another sees it as furries, another sees it as girls with cat tenancies because I never say anything about whiskers or tails.

The three I have up on site could also use an edit, but I'm unsure on word count.
'My neighbour Aleksei' is about hearing my neighbour in the shower and playing with myself to it.
'Tyrone' is interracial; and
'A cock sucking fantasy" is kind of self-explanatory for a first ever work. Although I plan to take it down once I get a bit better at writing. It was my first ever attempt after reading rules here but no other works or stories.

My plan is to expand them. I meant to only write them as one chapter just to see what people liked. The things from early last year don't have much in the way of plot because I was super nervous / anxious about it.

Yukon, thank you for the kind words and the feedback. I'm planning on playing with different styles and want to successfully write something in first, second and third person.
Apparently second person is the hardest, but I'll give it a go.
I had originally had character arcs and development but alas, the dreaded time demon got the better of them and they're now forgotten.

Also, I've now fixed my signature block thanks to your help <3
