Does a song (Or maybe, just a song title) fit you, or at least how you see yourself? How about how you see others, for instence, Lady Geisha calls me Peter Pan because "I won't grow up". Do we have any Scarecrows arround here: "If I Only had a Brain"?
Do you know anyone like that?

The song that fits me the most, oddly enough, seems to be Bitch, by Meredith Brooks. According to the ol' StudMuffin. Of course, U Stink But I Luv U by Billy and the Boingers seems to apply to him. The weightlifting fisherman with a penchant for sweating and some sort of jungle acquired foot fungus.

Personally, I always considered the song Shook Me All Night Long to apply to me the best *grinning wickedly here*

Easy one this.

"Creep" by Radio head.

PS. my favourite at the moment is "Couldn't do you no harm" by Beth Orton.

My signature is part of the chorus of a song titled "Dance in the Boat."

Dejavu?

The song for me is Ugly Bastard by the Casualties. I typed the lyrics on the other song thread a while back entitled "what song best describes who you are" from 8-21-00, so if you want to read them go there, it is on page 3 near the bottom/middle.

Dennis Leary's I'm an Asshole suits any number of males I know. I can't help but chuckle at that song.

Me, I'm just Sitting on the Dock of a Bay (wasting time...)

No stop it stop it you people keep comeing up with great song's and it's just not fair ( stamp's foot and wonder's off in to the distance ).

The people at work would probably say "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks,I do love that song. The song that I think fits my personality is one I don't even know the name of. It is sung by a group called Ceile's Muse, a Texas Celtic Group. It is sung from a woman's point of veiw, wondering who will remember her when she is gone. It tells of the hardships women go through, but how the men usually get remembered. It is a beautiful song, always makes me cry.

"Break Stuff" - Limp Bizkit, but I'm having a VERY bad day.

Sigh, it really all depends. Some days are one song and some days are another.

A few that I have been told that describe me:

Bitch - Meridith Brooks
Always a Woman - Billy Joel
Brown eyed girl - Van Morrison

The ones I feel that best describe me would be "Bitch" and
My name used here, but the one that has very special meanings would be "Question" by the Moody Blues.

My song would have to be "A Rose Is Still a Rose" by Aretha Franklin

"Cause a rose is still a rose,
Babygirl your still a flower,
He can leave you and then take you,
Make you and then break you,
Babygirl you hold the power."

I listen to this song a little more than i need to i think but hey what the hell it makes me feel good!!

another Aretha fan

She has such a goldden set of pipes. I don't think that I ever get enough of her.

A good friend once said that the song “My Maria” by Brooks and Dunn made him think of me. Granted it’s a country song but it was still a very nice sentiment and it does reflect my attitude towards very close friends.

Steely Dan's "Gaucho", of course.

"Who is the gaucho amigo
Why is he standing
In your spangled leather poncho
And your elevator shoes
Bodacious cowboys
Such as your friend
Will never be welcome here
High in the Custerdome"

Jimmy Buffet's "A Pirate Looks at 40" Now keep in mind that I'm only 33, but it fits me like a glove.

Also Steely Dan's "Hey Nineteen" cause I'm starting to feel out of touch with the kids nowadays.

"Hey nineteen, that's Aretha Franklin!"

One of my employees asked me the other day who The Rolling Stones were. Man did I feel old. And I came in at the tail end of that whole British invasion. I tremble for the day I have to explain my Van Halen logo tattoo to some kid.

These all seem about right, ecxcept for KillerMuffin. When ever I think of her I think of "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". You guys know each other better than I do, what songs would you attach to our fellow inmates her at lit?

mine would have to be... hmm. tough one. i suppose mayhaps "Point of Know Return" by Kansas.

I think the song that would best fit me is:

'Dare to be Stupid' by Wierd Al Yankovic

Belive me i live every moment by that motto.

Hi Shila!

"I heard a man saying something, the captains say they pay you well and they say the point demons guard is an ocean grave for all who brave. Was it you that said...how long?"

A former boyfriend once told me that he thought of me as "Diamond Girl;" bright, cold and hard.

I haven't really thought of myself in connection with popular songs since.

With the exception of the song I quoted for my signature line, that is.

I'm curious,

Do any of you here know of the song 'elmo' by Holly McNarland. Well thats me in a nutshell.

Now, it is fairly new, so some of you might not know it. Not to say you're all OLD or anything ;)

Heavens no, perish the very thought
