Someone tried to break into my home.

At any rate, this is one of those instances where the social climate of the forum simply is not in concordance with my personal beliefs and ideaology... so rather than argue with people who hold to their beliefs as strongly as I hold to mine. I leave things as they are. My point was made, anything more is excess.

While I question the existance of these many cases...
Gee, thanks. Welcome to Lit. I'm in law school. I read loads of cases. Why don't you ask before questioning the validity of my posts?

And we know your name by now. It's to the left of every post you make. Why the need to add it to the bottom of every post? Put it in your sig line, if it's so necessary.

We sleep on the second floor. There is a phone by the bed and the bedroom door locks. I don't keep guns in the house. There is a baseball bat by the bed. I am home alone until about 1 most nights, just me and my son.

I did report this to the police. Attempted break in, just so it could be checked against others.

BUT, one of the important things is that you can do little things to make your home safer. It doesn't cost much money and improves your chances of thwarting an attempted burglary.
