2. Do you want fat free or sugar free?
3.Which of the 49 flavors do you want?
4. If you're having a double or triple scoop, which combination of flavors do you want?
5. What kind of cone do you want it in; or do you want it in cup?


Life used to be so simple. There were three flavors and one kind of cone. Now, like everything else, even buying ice cream is a major production!

Well I get usually the following:

French Vanilla or Strawberry

Cup or Cone, makes no difference to me.

Sometimes I get a coupla scoops of Strawberry and a coupla scoops of French Vanilla.

This time of year, Maggie Moo's egg nog flavored ice cream with granola in a waffle cone. And then 4 hours at the gym to make up for it.

Usually, child size scoop of mint chocolate chip in a sugar cone.

As for me, I am fortunate to have one of the greatest ice cream stores in the Universe within 5 miles of my house. Ray's Ice Cream on Coolidge Hwy, in Royal Oak. This place is the Carnagie Deli of ice cream stores A single scoop cone is the size of a large beach ball. And the flavors are natural and created on site.

I love pistachio and coffee and orange pinapple and strawberry and banana and chocolate and butter pecan and I think that it's time for me to go to the gym.

we didn't have this "rocky road." if ya wanted rocky road, there was only one way to get it; ya tied yourself and your ice cream to the back of a horse and fired a shotgun. the horse would take off and there ya'd be. covered in blood and twigs and dirt and gravel eating yer filthy ice cream cone with torn trousers and leaves in yer hair!
and that's the way it was AND YA LIKED IT!

I usually get the flavors with liquor in them (Bailey's, Kahlua, maybe a rum raisin if they have it ... ). I like to be thorough when giving in to my vices ....

Most of the time the kinds you find in the grocery store have no alcohol content, but if you can find a little ice cream shop that makes its own ice cream, sometimes you find them with real alcohol in them and not just some flavoring.

MS and i don't pray over our ice cream, Todd darlin', we dive into it, licking and sucking, lips and teeth and mouth all moving, our closeness enhancing the gustatory adventure. We feed it to each other, too, hot eyes watching each other's tongues dancing over the cold melting surface, while moans of delight and appreciation issue from busy mouths. Sometimes we use our fingers, dipping into the wet treat, swirling around.. and then lifting to greedily sucking mouths to be cleaned.

Or is that a prayer?

In any case, my ice cream of choice is
1 - Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia
2 - Ben and Jerry's Fudge Brownie
3 - Some good quality French Vanilla

In a cup please.

I'll make it short and sweet.....
1) I buy my sorbet at the grocery. I love strawberry sorbet.
But if I'm in an ice cream parlor, ice cream is what I am going to buy.
2) If I'm in a fat infested ice cream parlor, I might as well order fat infested ice cream.
3) Flavors? I like Baskin & Robbins' Praline & Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Usually I order the latter.
4) No scoop.
5) I never order cones. But if I was to order one, it would be chocolate covered waffle cone.

Usually, during my once a week Baskin & Robbins visit, I often order 2 quarts of Praline & Cream (2 for $6 sale) and that takes care of the rest of the week.
