What if he's the worst President ever regardless of colour?
He obviously isn't. So, not a plausible scenario.
There's no such thing as "right-fringe." Its impossible for the right to be "fringe" in a philosophical sense.
There's no such thing as "racism." Its impossible for people to be "racist" in a philosophical sense.
There's no such thing as "sexism." Its impossible for people to be "sexist" in a philosophical sense.
There's no such thing as "homophobia." Its impossible for people to be "homophobic" in a philosophical sense.
But should someone have a different opinion? Would you be accepting of that?
I've always accepted different opinions.
I don't have to respect them, though. If someone says the moon is made of green cheese, a thinking person has the right to verbally eviscerate them for it.
Are you certain that you accept differing opinions given that you're quite certain that "he obviously isn't" the worst president?
Did you not understand "accept" vs. "respect"?
I do.
I just don't understand "accept" when used in conjunction with an adamant statement as "he obviously isn't". Your response doesn't show acceptance.
I accept the opinion that the moon is made of green cheese. It is an opinion, it exists, and it has a right to exist.
I do not respect the opinion, because it is clearly wrong.
Conversely, you cannot accept the opinion that President Obama is the worst president ever because that too is obviously wrong.
...huh?
I can "accept" it; I would never "respect" it. You still seem confused.
Conversely, you cannot accept the opinion that President Obama is the worst president ever because that too is obviously wrong.
I'm just being pedantic.
Good thing I left the race part out of it.
I'm curious, Rory, as to what you think of a black man who think President Obama to be the worst president in his lifetime.
Sorry - you've got me stuck in pedantic mode. If you wanted a serious discussion, you should've started that way.
(And you might benefit from not drinking so much "RoryN hates white people" Kool-Aid in the future, too.)
I've never thought that of you. Maybe I'm missing the posts in which you make that evident, but I've yet to see any.
