Most of the time it does. There are exceptions but the numbers are low.
It is very hard for any animal to go against genetics.
Examples. Not all pit bulls are very aggressive but almost all of them are more aggressive than a lab.
Not all jerseys produce more milk than an angus but the majority do.
Not all race horses are fast but most can out run a draft horse.
Genetics control much more than most people think.
