When you arose this morning what was in your stocking from Santa?

Mine was filled with love and joy...

Little Woodja loved all her new "leaning toys". She is standing in the middle of the living room floor surounded by tables of flashing lights and singing and noise making glee. :D

My bestest presents were:

Battlestar Galactica season 1 on DVD.

Hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy on DVD.

Bass Pro shops gift card.

They all fit perfectly into the 50% geek, 50% redneck label that someone gave me. :D

Just candy, but in 4 days I'm going to get a much nicer present, although it doesn't have anything to do with Santa (more like one of his naughty elves :p ).

I got:

Loot:
A Red Nano (with hard plastic case)

Books:
SQL Pocket Guide
SQL CookBook
Perl By Example
Programming the Perl DBI
Everyone Poops
The Gas We Pass

Barnes and Noble Gift Certificate

10 DVD's of movies I had not seen (Including the Extended Version of Dune!)

I think that's it...

My foot, actually.

But under the tree was a new laptop!

Total surprise!

It's a Dell Inspiron E1405, preloaded with MS Works Suite, games galore and a bunch more stuff.

I have promised not to play with it until after dinner.

But then, while they're all watching Xmas DVD's, it's party time.

Hope everyone had a joyous and loving Christmas.

Peace.

  • A table runner that my grandmother made once upon a time - a family heirloom!
  • 6 months worth of crossword magazines.
  • Lacy underwear
  • A pretty red blouse
  • A DVD-player...

De Nada!

But I was on holiday in Spain!
I got the same thing but, unfortunately, didn't have Spain to take away some sting from the former. Still, it beats the hell out of another year of switches and coal. :)

Rumple Foreskin

I took the xmas money my mom gave me, added a little skimmed from the grocery money, and bought myself a RAZR V3i....does that count?

Of course.

I got pajama pants (pink with frogs- I'm going to make the man take pictures of me in them)
and bath stuff, assorted fruit flavors
a 25$ card to Borders
New hair stuff (three brushes, big comb for wet hair, clips, ties, headband, etc) in neon snot green.
a small boombox.
a large box of Goodwill glass- about 30 assorted sizes of clear glass drinking vessels.
a really interesting and pretty crocheted camisole top which I am going to be wrapping up and re-gifting to Pyxie, as it is very much the wrong size- I wear an XS and it's an M. She already got jeans from me so now she'll have a lounge-around outfit.
$50 from my dad that is going in savings, if it doesn't bounce

It was a very small thing this year, but my boys got me these incredible shoes- gold with embroidery and beading and they really were godawful, but then my mom told me the story behind them.

While they were out shopping for each other, my middle boy, my Viking, found this one shoe in a bin of discontinuede items. He proclaimed it "the most beautiful shoe ever" and insisted that his mom had to have them. Unfortunately, they couldn't find the mate, so my mom said they'd have to come back and look another time, and they went off to look at the toys.

She noticed, about five minutes later, that my Viking was missing. She went back and found that he had climbed into the bin and emptied it completely out, and was standing there holding both shoes and crying because a clerk was trying to take them away. He told her that his mommy had to have the most beautiful shoes in the world, and was ready to fight about it.

I don't care what anyone says, the gaudy gold slippers that cost $2 in the clearance bin are the most gorgeous shoes on the planet. My baby said so.

My sweetheart gave me an ipod. He had me turn it on and look in the song list.
Our song was the only thing on there. I couldn't help it, I started sobbing. My little girl gave me season six of Charmed, and a story she had written. (Another aspiring author?). It was a great Christmas. :)

Two very nice pieces of jewelry. One being a thicker version on the one I wear all the time now.

You get The Sims for it yet? :p

Santa was good to me this year. I got a box set of the entire series (seasons 1-5) of Six Feet Under. I swear I almost broke my father's back when I hugged him after opening it. Tons of PJ pants and color coordinated t-shirts, a ring watch that is green and so tacky I fucking love it, Saw 1&2, popcorn, tons of bathroom stuff and Devin my kitty got Pounce and two toys. Good times. :D

Bath stuff (including a rubber duck) and new cookie sheets and muffin pans.

Our kids made out like bandits - happiness abounds in our home.

Since we were better prepared (we had some stuff on layaway in August, actually) this Christmas hubby and I actually managed to do pretty well, too.

We bought his and her Dell laptops. Wireless internet. DVD drives. *beam* They have differing capabilities - his for his power point presentations, mine for my writing and photography. You'll see mine in Chicago. ;)

But - very wonderful.

Happy Holidays everyone!

I got not a one duff present this year. My favourites were a rose brooch (I'm my husbands erotic english rose) a watch (off my daughter ,it's got cute charms on it) and this really cool shopping list memo board of mum with ingredients form Roald Dahl Stories on it, snozzcumbers and the like :)

A new phone! It's very cute with a thistle on the front! I also got knee high fluffy socks, some dvds, beautiful jewelry (including lovely earrings from The Earl, thank-you again hun!) and loads of bath smellies, my bestest sort of present! I've already used one of my bath bomb fortune cookies...

Lotsastuff.......from me mum and dad, me sister, the two sprogs, and a few things from each other...wine, chocolates, scarves, necklace, bracelet, dvd, photo frame, tea caddy, tarot cards, incense and burners, cds, a couple of very unusualy soft toys, they's spring shaped and bounce - a santa and a reindeer........but the wife and I agreed to buy a much needed new sofa, so that's our main gift to each other. Just have to choose it.

Quite alot for a change. Loadsa smellys, chocs, a calendar, cute ceraminc plaque from the kids with a smaltzey poem about "I love Mum because..." Bless them! Money from my parents and a £20 gift token for Tesco from my best friend cos she knows how broke I have been. I love her for that kind thought. Far more useful than chocs!

Hope everybody else got at least SOMETHING they wanted... :)

A white gold flower of the rose cross on a white gold chain (all made in places where labor isn't exploited, I was informed :) ) ... it's beautiful and I love it... and a pair of pink chenille socks (I love socks!)...

both of which are all I'm wearing right now...

That has got to be the sweetest story I have ever heard.
