Donald Trump accused Hillary Clinton of coming after your guns and your right to them. "Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment," Trump said May 7 at a rally in Washington. "Hillary Clinton wants to take your guns away, and she wants to abolish the Second Amendment.".

Talking about the stakes of the 2018 election, Trump said that if Democrats win back control of Congress "they'll take away your 2nd Amendment."

Trump referenced the Florida school shooter, who killed 17 students and faculty earlier this month, and blamed police for not disarming him beforehand.

"I think they should have taken [the guns] away immediately, whether they had the right or not," he said.

"The focus is to literally give families and give local law enforcement additional tools if an individual is reported to be a potential danger to themselves or others," Pence said. "Allow due process so no one's rights are trampled, but the ability to go to court, obtain an order and then collect not only the firearms, but any weapons."

Trump interjected.

"Or take the guns first, go through due process second," he said. "A lot of times by the time you go to court, it takes so long to go to court, to get the due process procedures. I like taking the guns early."

Sounds like violating your 2nd Amendment Rights to me. Process, schmocess, just take 'em away.

Would anyone care to cite where Obama or Hillary said they want to take your guns "whether they had the right or not?"

Your interpretation is a unique POV, but old and tired.

Maybe he was simply outgunned (figure of speech lefties, not to be taken literally) and outmanned. And the President could be thinking it's best to take away the guns first before making it due process de facto. Take away the guns before making official public announcements and they take away the weapons the American people could use to defend themselves. Which would be EXACTLY the opposite of what our forefathers intended to rid ourselves of an oppressive gov't. That's the way Donnie rolls when he's being quiet. People don't get that. It won't work.

I read that as well. Trump being an idiot as usual. Here's a chance for him to do something that's actually productive and he's either not going to do it or he's going to go about it all wrong. No wonder Melania looks so damn depressed all the time.
