Has anyone else heard it? What do you think of it? I liked it myself, but I'm a fan of both.

It's pretty cool. Cash has recently been covering songs that strike his fancy whether they fall into his genre or not. I think he does a very good job of straddling that very weird cover song line of staying true to the spirit of the original while adding his own unique perspective. The line "everyone I know, goes away, in the end" sounds much more poignant coming from a man near the end of his life than it does from a young person.

Also reccomended is his version of U2's "One"

ditto

Can't think of anyone other than the Man in Black that could've pulled it off so well.

Bitchin'. Glad to see I'm not the only one. Cash puts a different pain into the song. Not that I don't like Reznor, but I think this is a case where the original gets blown away.

another ditto

Hearing Johnny singing it and knowing just a few of the demons that have haunted this man makes his version so much deeper.

Not only do you hear the pain in this version, but you feel it as well.
