Todd, you can talk about anything you want, just please stop to think before you start typing. This has been a terrible day for the US. One of my favorite kids lives about 10 blocks from the WTC. Thank God, she was in class today & was finally able to call her parents this afternoon. Her mom called me a while ago to let me know that Missy was okay & that she was worried about me. This week is a hard enough one for me, it is the second anniversary of my son's death & the thought of losing one of "my" kids was almost more than I could bear.

A co-worker of mine in Toronto had a brother-in-law who worked in one of the Towers. He managed to get out in time.

They closed the CN Tower down today. I really hope the U.S. doesn't go overboard here.

I'm a little curious as to the size of the crowd that was celebrating in Palestine. Anyone know?

This tragedy will affect everyone. No one country or group is exempt from stating their sorrow and opinions on the subject.

As a side note, though, if you don't have something to say that will help...please don't hurt. I think the US citizens (as well as other people) are in enough pain and shock already without having more nonsense dumped on them.

Anyone who was touched by this in any way has a right to voice their opinion.

If something you say touches only one person...you have done a great service.

Sometimes, it's been my experience that just getting it all out can help. So, write it out. All your thoughts and feelings...no matter how silly and irrational they may seem. Just say it and hope it makes you feel at least a little better.

Love to all of you. :)

I just want to roll this day back 36 hours, start over knowing what we have to do in advance so that none of this had to happen.

It is a thoughtless waste of life.

I am visting tons of bulletins boards tonight gathering the little nugges of light in this dark time, parents reunited with kids who they though were gone, husbands with wifes.

We, the north american world lost a lot, and maybe this will help us hold to that we cherish even more dearly.

I can't type straight, I can't think straight, my emotions are in chaos.

Pooof and its gone.

smiles at PC

how can U.S. go overboard on something like this? Want to know what I hope happens? I hope we find out who is responsible and send our special forces in and slowly torture each and everyone responsible...I can assure you all the families and friends of all the dead people are going through more torture right now than any we can afflict on the bastards that did this.

umhhh

Ok i know both PC and Mistress are angry and upset, but if congress can make nice and sing God Bless America then i think you two can be civil to each other.

Come on kiss and make up and give snuggles all around

Well, there was some talk on this board of Japanese camps during WW2. I would call that going overboard.

The U.S. will find the people responsible. And beef up security. And maybe use their influence to make it less desirable to harbour terrorists. But I hope it ends there.

Yes it all does make me sick all those who have died today for no reason at all. It's horrible, and three people Todd knew died as well...can you only imagine the shock he is in?
