store owner contacts ATF about how to properly dispose of guns, stating a manufacturing fault that rendered them unusable. Instead of cutting them into 3 pieces as told, seems he put some kid on it who only partially cut them before dumping them in a dumpster (after giving 2 away for free along with ammo).

Federal agents are trying to figure out why an Oklahoma gun store owner threw almost 250 guns in a dumpster, and why a man was allegedly allowed to keep two of them as a memento.

According to court filings first reported by CourtWatch, on January 19, 2023, an Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sanitation worker stumbled upon a dumpster with 236 rifles and 12 shotguns in it. The shocking finding led him to call authorities, who found many of the guns were functional, the filings stated.
and it wasn't the first time, according to witnesses.
The agents then encountered two men near the store who told them that they had seen the dumpster loaded with guns on separate occasions, months before the January incident.

So, how is this about "responsible" gun owners?

So you're now claiming this store sold on consignment?
I'm not claiming anything in regard to the particular store. I'm stating a fact that many such stores conduct consignment-type private sales of guns.

Well then retract this:
So, how is this about "responsible" gun owners?
Because unless you know for sure the gun store in question was selling on consignment ( which I find it hard to believe in today's Lean Manufacturing practices) then this thread IS about "responsible gun owners".

You said the following: "I never knew they were on consignment with the stores...", I answered with a private owner sale in mind but many gun stores do sell their guns on consignment and do not own them all. They simply act as a federally licensed agent between the manufacturer and the customer. Those unsold are shipped back to the manufacturer.

LOL no this is what I said.

Gun stores don't own the guns they sell? Really? I never knew they were on consignment with the stores....
Context matters.

So the context went like this:

The OP's post
store owner contacts ATF about how to properly dispose of guns, stating a manufacturing fault that rendered them unusable. Instead of cutting them into 3 pieces as told, seems he put some kid on it who only partially cut them before dumping them in a dumpster (after giving 2 away for free along with ammo).

Then you make the question below
So, how is this about "responsible" gun owners?
Gun stores don't own the guns they sell? Really? I never knew they were on consignment with the stores....

I replied with the above quote. The words the store which is in bold above implies every single gun store in America.

You then reply
Many gun stores and dealers sell guns on consignment. In some states, private sales are confined to using an FFL holder as an intermediary.
The word many, does not imply all.
Which lead me to ask this:
So you're now claiming this store sold on consignment?
The word this, in bold, refers to the store the OP referred to. So unless you know for sure this store sells on consignment, your post to her was irreverent and idiotic.

Why, because the gun store owns the guns it's selling. ( unless you got proof of course, I am not taking your word for anything....lol)

That you are to stupid to follow your own post, and who you made them to,is no ones fault but your own.

Hahahaha, you have no right to call anyone stupid when you cannot read with comprehension. I made a couple of very clear simple statements that somehow you are incapable of understanding. This is why communicating with you is almost impossible and a waste of time. You do not read with understanding.

I'm not surprised you have problems with context, you exhibit it everyday on here.

*chuckles* I am not doing this to engage with you.

I am just highlighting your blatant stupidity, and like the tool you are, but you walk in and participate. *chuckles* Thanks!!

such is the nature of their posts in general, which is why they're on ignore :) life's too short for these numpties.

Wait…. The manufacturer uses a dumpster to get the shipments back?

And you talk about others with comprehension problems?

You really are a mess!

16-year old sister had to call 911 after her 3-year old brother found a loaded gun in their father's nightstand and shot himself in the face

this should never have happened; don't tell me there aren't countless homes with guns not locked safely away.
It's not clear exactly how the boy got into his father's nightstand and discharged the gun, Chitwood said.
Chitwood said the gun was usually kept in a safe, which was not working.
The family had a second gun on top of the fridge, he said.

The boy's father is a state corrections officer, Chitwood said, adding that the guns were not department-issued.

And yet the open borders allow guns, and any other weapons you can probably imagine to be trafficked across them all the time. And don't forget about the 100k Americans killed by fentanyl last year alone. Teenagers from Chicago can post their illegally owned Glocks with illegal full auto conversions, all without fear of getting in trouble. But keep telling yourself the ATF is actually doing a good job.

What "open borders?"

Why do I get the feeling that those who are currently upset about the trailer park fentanyl problem didn't give a fuck about the crack epidemic in the inner cities. <--- rhetorical.
