Snuff porn

No, no, no, beyond the pale of anything i would find acceptable, much less arousing...

That's a lot like the one recently about the guy on parole writing fictitious child porn. I think if you substitute a nuetral phrase like stories about Lassie coming home, then you argue free speech. Does that make sense legally (being just a lay person).

Personally i don't think they should be writtten at all, but I have a friend, a comedian (Personally I think all comedians are twisted) who just loves the stuff.

speech is either free or it isn't!

I don't understand how snuff is a turn on for anyone, but I would once have thought that some of my present kinks were absurd. I'd truly hate to have to watch one of those reality death videos.

I support laws against images of children actually having sex because that constitutes a crime (as opposed to movies where editing can achieve this without an actor even being aware of who else will be inserted into the scene). Even so, movies with children in such situations make me nervous, and I instinctively break the scene down to see whether or not the kid was even in the same room as the "bad" folks while shooting. So it's actually distracting, like wondering if those tits really belong to [famous actress].

But no laws in this country can be allowed to interfere with peoples' words or fake images (anime, however plastic and silly it looks, doesn't involve criminal activity against anyone, and so cannot be prohibited).

Thoughts are sacrosanct, even if they're moronic, as they so frequently are.

That guy in Ohio had a very bad lawyer and he needs a good shrink, but it's my understanding that shrinks LIKE it when you write down your ideas rather than act upon them.

We'll see what the Supreme Court says about commercial child porn next year. It's possible they will vote to criminalize things that don't involve criminal activity, and then everyone with big, unpopular ideas had better watch their backs in the future. A little repression goes a long way....
